“Glad we were not put off by first room offered- and nearly never stayed. Pleased we did though.”
Reviewed 14 August 2011

A welcoming phone call two days before setting off put us in a great frame of mind for our visit to this Warner hotel.

Friendly meet and greet at the gates was another lovely touch.

Things took a bit of a nose dive shortly after. Allocated to room 131 - it smelled awful! Something like a cross between disinfectant and urine - and not in the bathroom. Housekeeping came along armed with an aerosol air freshener. I suggested that it would only add to the odours and she agreed that the room "smelled bad". Told reception who said no other rooms available unless they get a cancellation - no guarantees and may not know until about 4:00, how about Lakeside? No thanks, didn't want a chalet. As we hadn't planned sufficiently to bring a gas mask with us we nearly packed up and went home there and then. Fortunately, for us, due to a cancellation, we were offered another room 319 which lacked the sea view and was a double rather than the twin we had wanted, but it was breathable in. Seemed unbelievable that the hotel did not have any rooms for unforeseen emergencies such as services failure or other disasters that hit us all at home on occasion.

Glad we stayed though as the hotel was excellent.

Stylish restaurant with very good choice of menu. Loved the fish bar especially the skate wings! Imaginative choice of deserts too. Banquette type seating was a little on the low side

Superb range of daytime activities, couldn't do them all so will have to come back - flower arranging, gemstones, antiques, sketching, watercolouring, archery, bowling, croquet, magician (how did he do that?) - let alone a mystic Mary, wildlife tour and other events.

Lovely public areas and friendly staff - especially coffee shop and that afternoon tea!

Heated outdoor pool was lovely treat.

Quizes were lots of fun and tour of grounds was very informative (well done Alyson!).

Entertainment was super - West End Show and Big Band evening especially (seen the Cotton Club at Bembridge).

Free Wifi is a great feature.

Out of interest, we visited room 131 again on the last day whilst scouting the site for future visits and it still smelled so we wil not be asking for that one.

We will definitely be back as it is such a super hotel.

I have just returned from my first 'Warner' holiday. What a pleasure it was. Superb food, clean accommodation and very friendly and helpful staff. I couldn't fault anything. With the added bonus of not a child to be seen.

right from the beginning of our weekend until the end of our break, we found the staff very friendly and willing to help. The outdoor pool was excellent(heated to 32), only lacking outdoor toilet facilities. entertainment good and food was lovely. The spa treatments were very good value for money, in fact the whole weekend was very good value for money. Loved the Pimms experience.

Room Tip: upgrade to a sea view it is well worth it.

Arrived Friday 5/8/11 at lunchtime to start a 7 night break. Having stayed at other Warner Hotels we had a good idea of what standard to expect. That standard was acheived and more throughout our stay. First we were met at the entrance to the Hotel by a very polite and informative gentleman who checked us in on his list and directed us to our designated car park. At reception, check in was very efficient and smooth through the Concierge Club receptionist and given our All Inclusive charge cards and room keys. We had a Signature Room (No 344) on the ground floor with sea view. The room was spotlessly clean and commanded a lovely view over Langstone Harbour. The cleanliness of the room was maintained throughout our stay. The room was tastefully furnished with comfortable chairs and a very comfortable king sized bed. The only critisism is that it could have done with bigger pillows (not a major set back). The usual tea and coffee making facilities were replenished daily.
The Spinnacre Bar and Coffee Lounge offered excellent service and choice of drinks and snacks, all served by very attentive and friendly staff in a bright and airy atmosphere.
The Driftwood Restaurant tastefully decorated serving very good food at the carvery with a choice of two meats and a fish with accompanying potatoes and vegetables. Also there was a choice of dishes freshly prepared and served to you at your table. Tables are allocated on arrival and retained for the duration of your stay for breakfast and dinner. I requested a table for two and was allocated table no 87 by a large window overlooking one of the garden areas. The jewel in the crown was our waiter, a young man by the name of Will. He was excellent and so very professional with his duties as well as finding time to have a friendly chat and share a laugh and a joke. He is, in our opinion, one of the best staff members in Warner's employ.
The entertainment was in the Pavillion Caberet Bar and Lounge where again staff were were very friendly and efficient. The entertainment provided by the entertainment team was the best we have seen at any establishment, not just Warners. They were absolutely fantastic in everything they did. The professional entertainment on the Saturday evenings are always very good.
This Hotel is one of the best in the Warner Group and the staff from the Manager down are to be congratulated for making it so good. Our 7 night break surpassed all expectations and Warners are to be congratulated on providing the all inclusive option for guests. All round good value for money.

We visited Sinah Warren recently with a group of friends for a weekend break. The hotel ,accomodation and surroundings are excellent.Very clean ,well kept and very up to date.We were especially impressed that they had taken on board the recent headlines about illness on cruises etc and there was hand gel positioned everywhere for all to make use of.The food we had was also of a very high standard. At the carvery the meat was delicious and tender and the vegetable selection tasted freshly cooked and the choice changed each night. You could watch whilst fresh fish of the day was cooked for you and the vegetarian and other menu choices were good and varied. One night when one of our party had some food that wasnt quite up to standard a manager saw that she hadn't completed her meal and came to speak to her about it so that she could deal with any problem straight away. The breakfast offered almost everything you could wish for, including pancakes made while you watched. However the thing that stood out for me overall was the amazing quality of the staff. They are obviously chosen well and then trained to a high standard. Many other organisations could learn from them.
Unfortunately during our stay one of our party became unwell and this necessitated hospital treatment. We had to ask for help twice.Once a taxi was ordered for us at Warners expense to go to a Drs appt,on the second occaision a 999 ambulance was ordered. Both times the behaviour of the staff was faultless. They handled the situation with calmness.sensitivity and efficiency.Nothing was too much trouble and this continued after we returned from hospital as they kept in touch offering to provide meals in the room.
I haven't mentioned the entertainment/activities that were on offer. We watched the cabarets which were excellent with highly talented well rehearsed acts.We also took part in the quizzes and tried our hand at archery.finally we made use of the indoor pool which was very enjoyable.Overall despite our medical hiccough we spent a very enjoyable weekend in Sinah Warren and hope to visit again soon.

Obviously, very sorry to hear that one of your party was unwell whilst a guest at our Hotel and hope that they are now feeling better. Obviously, it is most gratifying to hear how well the situation was handled by my team and thank you so much for the fantastic comments you make about them. I am delighted to read that you enjoyed your time with us in spite of the unfortunate circumstances.

i have been to Sinah Warren quite a few times in the past but I must say that my last visit was very pleasing indeed. The restaurent has been refurbished since my last visit and the food was great especially the fish counter where it is cooked while you wait.
I was equally impressed with the in house entertainment, the shows were very profesional.
The hotel rooms were first class.
Staff very helpful.
Warners going forward certainly seem to be getting everthing just right, cant wait to go again.

Room Tip: even the basic rooms are of a very good standard although I had a signature room
