“Great entertainment”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 September 2010

Had two fantastic nights of entertainement with two great 60's band. Room was not clean enough for us and was poorly maintained with curtains hanging off the hangings and cracked toilet seat. Reception were friendly booking in and out but would not put themselves out in-between. Otherwise staff were great. Dissapointed that you could not get things that were on the coffee shop menu.

Went for 3nights all inclusive. Had a fabulous time. Service was first class in the restaurant and the bar. Accomodation was great, digital TV witrh radio, but with so much to do with the activities there, didn't see much TV. Entertainment was great, although the Abba tribute group were a bit naff. Will go again, no airport hassle just a car ride.

I have just returned from taking my Mother on a weekend break to Sinah Warren. Very impressed with the location and the service - it is unusual to find a hotel in this country with such extensive grounds and views. The outdoor pool and terrace is equal to those found in some hotels on the Med although unfortunately the weather was a bit hit and miss whilst we were there. Warners is definitely aimed at the more mature guest but I believe it is more elderly during the week - the weekends attract a more mixed crowd we encountered more 50 and 60 somethings rather than the age group quoted by some reviewers on this site! Whilst it is probably not somewhere my husband and our friends would go to on our own it is perfect if you are looking for a group holiday for a mixed family age group as Warners try to cater for everyone. The younger people tended to be with older relations - but it works! Yes there are some motobility scooters etc but you can also try different activities from archery to beauty treatments, there is snooker, a nice leisure club, cycle hire etc - so no need to feel that it is 'geriatric'. The evening entertainment is there if you want it - I would describe it as a cross between one of those large all inclusive hotels in Spain (without kids) and being on a cruise ship! Restaurant arrangements are very much the same as on a cruise (same table each day etc). I was impressed with the room, views, cleanliness and food. All staff were helpful and polite. Best to go for the carvery dishes for quality and quantity- also you will be rushed through the meal if you don't have a word with the waiter - we did and it was fine. Breakfasts are the best thing - wonderful. We had an all inclusive break which was excellent - I believe bar prices are high if you go there normally. Hayling Island is ok for a few days - there are some nice walks and cycle rides but agree you need a car here to go out further or do the excursions - you can also get taxis easily. I felt so relaxed after my break - it was all very easy and unstressful.

We arrived at Sinah Warren on hottest weekend of the year May 21st 2010 room seemed pleasant, went to have shower lifted loo seat up - excrement in the toilet!!
Duty manager and cleaner came up apoligised - gave us £50 towards drinks, also changed soiled sheet - and cleaned round again. Tried to get on with weekend but the toilet did not flush properly - repeated attempts to get duty managers - a series of them each one more agressive than the last - no on had the brains to get a plumber until the sunday afternoon when we got back from Portsmouth to another load of mess and the lady in gift shop was brilliant - toilet still not worked properly tho. On writing to head office we got a rude letter from managing director what a way to run a business!!! It is very elderly and the food left quite a bit to be desired, all staff foreign.

Our first stay at a Warner's Hotel
Recommended by a host of friends, decided to give it a try
We both enjoyed our three night weekend break, exceeded out expectations
A full programme of activities, a charged was levied baring the quiz, and simple games held in the show lounge
Evening entertainment was ok - just, though The Firebirds were very good - why so loud ?
Being in the "bus pass" age group, were not too bothered by the high preponderance of the elderly, quite fun avoiding the many powered chairs hurling around the hotel
This is a walkers Paradise, miles of walks around Langstone Harbour
Restaurant was pleasant with a good "basic" menu, a very good carvery with two choices of joints, and plenty of veg. also a themed choice at the self service
Bar prices were expensive - but this weekend was all inclusive
The grounds were large and so well tended, for a lazy break this is indeed a hotel to try
Upgraded to signature with sea view, and was agreeably impressed

Was expecting a relaxing break in an upmarket hotel without children - got a very noisy holiday camp for very senior citizens spent time having to avoid mobility scooters and zimmer frames.
