“dreadful place”
Reviewed 12 October 2008

we went as a family outing with young children and lots of adults. Most of the attractions where broken the place was packed - everyone was bored and wanted to go home within about an hour. The place is very expensive. We asked to have our money back.

“We think Eureka is great!”
Reviewed 4 October 2008

We've been going to Eureka since my son was 18 months old and he's loved every trip. His favourite bits are the garage, where the children can fill can fill the cars with petrol and operate the car wash and the mechanism for moving the clouds. VIsits have fuelled many of his questions and he's had fantastic fun.

As long as you avoid school holidays there isn't usually a problem with it being too busy. The only drawbacks I can see, are the cost (it is expensive for a family) and the cafe which is again expensive. Somewhere for the grown ups to sit down would be very welcome too.

“Not great”
Reviewed 26 May 2008

We visited Eureka! on a cold, wet West Yorkshire day and it didn't do a lot to amuse us. The adults of the party paid quite a lot to get in, which would have been fine if the kids (aged 5 & 2 at the time) had enjoyed it, but they, too found it very boring.

The place was packed, and rather like the modern Science Museum, there were interactive things to do but it was very, very hard to get to use them! There was very little for us to participate in with the kids and as such they felt nervous about going to use the 'hands-on' exhibits.

For the money Eureka! cost we felt we could have found something more exciting for us and the children to do.
