We called here for a late Sunday lunch at 3.30 to find the car park full so we were concerned that they would not be able to seat us as we had not booked, however this was not a problem despite it being obvious that a large function was being held.
The front of house staff was friendly and efficient as were the waiters and bar staff. Food and drink orders were taken promptly and we didn't have long to wait before our starters arrived, my partner had prawn cocktail and I had scallops which were superb. Mains were steak pie for him which was extremely tender and packed with good chunks of meat, this was served with a little jug of gravy, peas and chunky chips. My meatballs with spaghetti were lovely. The pub serves hand pulled local ales and for wine drinkers it is nice that they are all served in small, medium and large glasses, or by the bottle.
This place is excellent quality and value, I have had much worse food at a lot more cost and would certainly recommend, it certainly deserves to be a lot higher placed on the Tripadvisor site

It's been a couple of years since we ate here and are so glad we called for lunch. The range of food on the fixed price menu contains something for everybody and is great value too.

Two courses each and one dessert (with a Latte instead for my wife) and a couple of beers each cost around £35. The Haddock and Scampi mains are worthy of a special mention - both perfect. Well kept ales/lagers including Taylor's Landlord, Saltaire Blonde and Grolsch then a fine Creme Brulee were all sampled which ensured we left The Sun both full and very contented.

Service was excellent and I was told there has been a recent change of ownership which I can only talk positively about. This place deserves to be rated far higher than it is in TA listing and compares very well with the best pub lunches we've had in West Yorkshire.

Four of us had a very enjoyable evening. For a start there is a good choice of real ales always a sign of a good establishment. We all had the steak deal. This really was very good and excellent value. Well cooked and presented with proper chips. The staff are all pleasant and cheerful. Andy was just about (but only just) the star. A new series of BGT had started on the night we visited. I wondered why he was not on since he would have been much better than the rubbish that they usually con into appearing. As big Arnie said." I'll be back".

We went to the Sun Inn one Friday evening with our 3 year old. We were all made to feel welcome and the staff were very attentive. The food was delicious and good sized portions. Will visit again - nothing to complain about!
