I completely agree with most of the reviews I've just read! This Is not a Hotle!! I felt so unsafe here. Also it is dirty, I think the only good thing about this Hotle is the free cups of tea and coffee in your room. The staff don't seem plesent, in my room the smoke alarm had clearly been ripped out, and cigaret buds all over window so they are obviously letting people hang out the Hotle windows and smoking, the Hotle genially smells, and feels so unclean, creaking walls and door and floor bored, doesn't seem safe at all, would be easy to brake into rooms, seriously don't understand the people putting nice reviews, I'm sure it's probablys the owners of the Hotle writing it because its seriously not right!! And the pictures on the Hotle website are nothing like what it is really like!! I know it's quite cheep but you will be able to find somewhere for a similar price for much better value!! Moved Hotle on second night for 10 pound more and It was 100 times better!!

Entrance way is dirty, carpets are worn, staff are not particularly helpful and the place smells. the room had holes in the floor, dirty ceiling and bathroom, the shower itself was snapped and the roof was a polystyrene false ceiling with stains everywhere. absolutely, without question the worst hotel i have seen. i asked for my money back when i saw the room; was not offered a refund despite never having stayed there for more than 20 minutes. i went to the new Premier Inn city centre and that was excellent. as other reviews have commented, it is terrible and i am flabbergasted that people have reviewed saying "that it is worth the money as it is cheap"; it is NOT worth the money. Travelodge and Premier Inn are within the same range and are significantly better. i did not even feel safe in this hotel.

We stayed here for 4 nights as a base for travelling around and we can't fault it. The beds were clean, the shower was good, plenty of tea and coffee, great evening buffet and friendly staff that went out of their way to help. The only small problem was parking but even that was sorted by staff who allowed us to park down their side alley. The room was hot as the window only opens a little bit but we happened to be there on a very rare hot weekend. That doesn't happen often in UK anymore. We will definitely use this hotel again. Why pay 4 times as much for a less personal service . Thank you to all involved, we loved it.

Stayed 2 nights for a place to crash for a family wedding. 45 quid for a double room b&b. Thought it was a bit cheap and got what we paid for. Staff nice enough and after 1 night with a breeze block pillow the manager promptly sorted me a better one! Rooms desperately need updating, old fashioned, curtain hanging off one window as the hooks broken, other curtain stained, nice dust line around the skirtings as not vacuumed well. Very old fashioned pink en-suite. Would recommened they replace the silicone around the inside of the shower as black with mould. Tiles oranged, no water pressure at all! Only provided with one bath towel and one hand towel, both very thin. Woken at 3am as the extractor fans in bathrooms very loud and neighbours left theirs on, also could hear all conversations as wall thin. Creaky floors, squeeky doors, not good propping them open to stop them banging as are fire doors and should be closed, better to fix them!! Breakfast a joke, obviously did not expect us first morning as choice was sliced bread and tesco value hiddious cereal. At least we got youghurt, croissant and fruit second day, would suggest spending a bit more on quality food! Not sure where the room photos are from on their web site, but nothing like the reality!

Sometimes one finds a place which is really cheap and wonders how they do it at the price. This place is really cheap and you can see how they do it. Backstreet location. Low staffing level. Spartan furnishings. Preference for cash payments (extra charge for plastic).
However, if you want to save money, I would recommend this hotel. Clean enough. Towels, bedlinen & bathroom spotless. Hot water in the shower. Surprisingly good TV in room. No car park, but street parking easy and free 6pm-8am and all day Sunday.

seedy, grubby, shabby, horrid. Empty packet of condoms in the wardrobe. Dodgy hairs in the bath. The curtains were 2 inches short so daylight hit you in the face. Stains all over the ceiling?!? Also suspicious red stains all over the towel needless to say it didnt get used. It was like Fawlty towers but I bet at least Fawlty towers was clean. Seriously, stay away from this place....yuk. We couldnt wait to get the hell out of there.
