Description: Ricci’s Tapas and Cicchetti brings together seasonal, fresh ingredients with a touch of Balearic style and creativity. We offer small tapas-style plates packed with irresistible flavours, including favourites like Mini Chorizo cooked in El Gaitero Cider and Sweet Potato Wedges with Figs, Chilli and Goats’ Cheese. Every dish is made to order using fresh local produce, alongside unique artisan ingredients sourced from around the world. We think tapas is a great way to eat – it’s fun, informal and social, and encourages diners to dig in to something delicious while the wine and conversation flows. We’ve designed our restaurant in Halifax with laid-back communal dining in mind, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere that feels like a Mediterranean home from home. Drinks are an important part of our menu too, with a superb range of beers, wines, champagnes and cocktails on offer, including Estrella Galicia on draught. If you’d rather not book in advance or are dining alone, you can simply pull up a chair at our chef’s table and enjoy a couple of tasty plates alongside a cold beer or a glass of wine – there’s a warm welcome for everybody.

We visited here on a weekday evening, I was surprised at how busy it was and would definitely recommend booking in advance as we were unable to be seated at the time we wished due to the restaurant being too full. I shared 5 dishes with a friend; the food was enjoyable, I would particularly recommend the squid. I did however find the stuffed pepper tasted slightly odd; although I have put this down to personal taste as I asked a couple of friends to try it and they said it tasted okay. The deserts were delicious, staff friendly and restaurant/toilets clean. One of my fiends was slightly disappointed that none of his dishes was served until well after all the rest of us had started eating, however this is common in tapas restaurants and was possibly just bad luck on his part.

We ordered specific tapas dishes that we each liked and not to share across the table so when half the order came and half of it after including a load of salad by itself it was just silly! The food is tasty but the portions were so small that left still hungry after it came to £20 each, for that you can get a proper size main! Desserts are lovely! If there wasn't so much waiting between dishes and better portion sizes it would be a higher dating!

Went to this restaurant for a early evening meal before attending Dean Clough theatre. Had some really nice tapas dishes with some interesting flavours. Service was very good and the wine was very nice. Price was reasonable and the atmosphere was really relaxed. I would go again!

Tapas is not for everyone. Lots of small dishes, arriving on the table at different times and difficult to blend all the tastes as we come o expect from Master Chef. However, if you enjoy this type of food, Ricci's is quite exceptional. There are some really unusual and interesting dishes, all of the highest quality. The row of bench seating, with the option of sitting at the bar means that the tables are not particular private, but this is a place you go for a lively atmosphere. There were a mixture of ages and some families. I can highly recommend a visit, followed or preceded by a visit to his cocktail bar, some 20m away. The setting within the Dean Clough Mill complex is spectacular. We spent some time wandering around the mill complex afterwards.
