“Fantastic local day out”

Manor Heath and Jungle Experience

Myself and my husband visited with our 2 year old son & we had a fantastic day. The jungle experience was great & at just £1 each adult & free for kids it was great value for money. Our son loved looking at the animals as well as the flowers/plants. The walled garden is lovely and I would have spent more time here if I wasn't with a noisy 2 year old! The cafe was nice and reasonably priced. Our son loved the children's play area. He would've spent all day there & didn't want to leave! We'll definitely be back again soon.

Our kids love it here, the park is clean and well maintained and there is a huge playground. In the Summer there are usually lots of attractions on, galas, sandpit etc. And we always have to go in to see the Butterfles!

It's a pleasant enough park with reasonable play areas. The jungle experience is good but could be much better with a bit of investment. Nice place to shelter from Pennine weather though if you need to warm up.

We come here often and its greag vslue for a £1, we all love looking at the butterflies and terapins. Great cafe next door with outdoor seating so adults can grab a latte whilst kids play in the park, well worth a visit

A Tropical Jungle in Halifax?? Yes, Indeed.

Manor Heath and JUngle experience is just that..... ensure you leave your heavy coats and woollen at the entrance, if you dont want to come out soaked in humidity inside.

The Tropical jungle is well laid out with Flora and Fauna from quite a few countries around the world. The pool within has a good collection of fish and the highlight of the pool are the Terrapins that are mostly lazing on the rocks around the pool. Though a slow walk through the jungle could take about 30-40 minutes, a enthusiast may take over 2 hours to appreciate each of the collected plants and shrubs. Within the tropical forest, you get to see small, tiny Quails scuttling around the path and under he low lying plants. They are always within arm's reach, but I dont think anyone has managed to grab one.

For a entrance fee of £1 the Jungle Experience lives up to the tropical name tag that goes with it. For children, its a great way of introducing the tropical climate and humidity amongst the native plants and trees. The Butterfly garden which is part of the experience is yet to hatch any butterflies as of 3rd week of April 2013. I am sure there will be a lot of flutters come summer.

The walled garden behind is beautiful. The lawns and collection of flower plants is excellent. The flower beds are well laid out and the colour combinations are bright. Come summer, the place will be a colour paradise.

Play area for children has play equipment for all ages including a massive rope clamber for the teenagers too. The open green area is great for a picnic and the scenery beyond captures part of the hills around Halifax.

Manor Heath & Jungle Experience is truly a Eden Garden of Halifax.
