“4 star hotel in a Great B&B.”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

Whilst there is B&B places like this we will continue to choose them over the chain hotels that may offer cheaper deals. We had a very enjoyable nights stay here, the room was spotlessly clean, had an excellent en-suite and we had a very very comfortable nights sleep. A lot of effort had gone into ensuring guests have all they need, filter coffee in the room, bottled water (free) and even chocolates to have with your tea/coffee.

The breakfast was outstanding, an excellent choice of cereals, yoghurt with fruit composites and lovely porridge.

Parking in the street was no problem and it was an easy walk into the town centre. If you enjoy a morning run there is an athletics track straight across from the guest house and was accessible the morning we were there.

To date of all the B&B places we have visited this one has raised the bar to another level - well done.

Overall could not fault this excellent B&B and would certainly have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

My boyfriend booked us into this B&B for the weekend as a Christmas present for myself - he knows how much I love the seaside. We arrived late on a Friday night (15 minutes late for check-in due to mad traffic on the A11!) but we were told that this was not a problem; we instantly felt welcomed.

We had reserved the downstairs bedroom but Robert informed us he had a nicer room upstairs and put us there. The room was idyllic - little on the small side, but comfy bed, well furbished, lovely little en-suite and spotlessly clean. The little personal touches like tea-bags, milk, chocolates, biscuits were spot-on.

Breakfast the next day was absolutely delicious. The best I've had in a long time. The management were just lovely - the only word that sums them up. Lovely.

We would definitely come back here and I'll recommend to all I know. We didn't want to leave.

Robert and Charlotte have worked hard to modernise this place, and they have succeeded. It is very good value for money, they are welcoming and accommodating, and the food is of a high standard. My single room was spacious, well stocked (enough towels for two) and with plenty of drawer space as well as a wardrobe - with a bath robe. The one drawback is the staircase which, being an old house, is a bit steep. Luckily I was on the first floor.

We stayed for one night in the spa room. The jacuzzi was excellent as was breakfast the following day which was of very high quality. The mini bar was also very reasonably priced. I would recommend this bed and breakfast to others if they are staying the area.

The Beaumont House Guest House was a real treat, we have stayed in many luxury hotels around the world and they fail to put the detail into a guests stay, unlike Robbert and Charlotte.
The rooms are superb, with every thing you need to have an excellent stay. The details that have gone into each room are second to none and we were truly impressed. Robbert excelled himself with the sumptuous breakfasts and the daily specials were a culinary delight. We felt that nothing was too much trouble and they really cared that we had the best time possible, whilst we stayed with them. I would recommend this establishment to all, whether you are on business or pleasure you will have difficulty in beating the fantastic hospitality you receive at The Beaumont House.

Room Tip: The description of each room is excellent on the web site, so no help is needed.
