Stayed at The Weatherdene for the Caister weekend - Theresa greeted us with a warm welcome, room was very comfortable, the LATE breakfast was a great idea and the food was very good. Free parking right outside and a great location to easily walk to the front and shops. I would highly recommend this great little B&B

We found the B&B while browsing the Great Yarmouth website looking for a B&B in the area as we wanted to catch a long weekend away from home.

The location is 30 seconds from the beachfront and all the arcades. It is only a 10-15 minute walk to the edge of the shopping centre in the middle of town.

Parking can be a little tight but I managed to get a space right outside the front door and there was always another space near mine so don't panic. (Parking permits are supplied if you need to park slightly farther away)

Upon arrival we had the most warm welcome and were sat down with the hot drink if our choice while we were taken through all of the paperwork and payments processed. First impressions were excellent.

The room was bright and clean, tea, coffee, cups and glasses are provided in the room and there is also a mini fridge incase you want to take anything than requires chilling. Hangers supplied in the cupboard and you can hang coats on the back of the door.

The en suite bathroom is small but facilitates all needs and is clean. The shower is a power shower and works well which is always a bonus when staying away from home.

Umbrellas are provided to borrow next to the front door incase it is raining when you leave to go out which was a lovely touch. You can also borrow an iron and ironing board if required.

Theresa the owner was more than helpful when giving us advice on restaurants to visit and things to do in and around Great Yarmouth. (The Indian restaurant on the front near the casino is excellent and not overpriced) The advice given was excellent and I recommend that you also seek her advice.

It was on Theresa's recommendation that we went to the dog racing and it was a great night out. Bear in mind though if you want to eat then you need to ring up and book. You have to pay for tickets and food together so don't follow our mistake and buy tickets before hand as we had to pay again as the tickets are included with the dinner.

Breakfast at the B&B is wonderful, you are given a list of what you can pick from for a fried breakfast with a full rack of toast on the side with jam & butter provided. Tea/coffee and juice is provided with breakfast. The food tasted great, you can also have cereals if you would prefer or as well if you are really hungry.

We had a fantastic stay, it was like home away from home. Highly recommended and if we visit that part of the coast again then this is where we will choose to try and stay at.

Having spoken to Theresa (the hard working owner) to arrange our arrival we were met with a smile. The Westherdene is a gem, tucked away from the noise of the seafront yet a 30 second walk away. Parking was free & not a problem at all. Our room, a twin costing £50 was immaculate & quite beautiful with lovely furniture & soft furnishings - tv, mini fridge, tea & coffee, kettle & wonderful homemade flapjacks which really were an unexpected finishing touch. Breakfast (which was chosen the night before & included in the price) was lovely - full english, tea, toast, juice & cereals - couldnt want for more. Theresa was a lovely host, she made a point of knowing both mine & my daughters names & we enjoyed our conversations - highly recommend to anyone visiting yarmouth & we will definately be back

Room Tip: we stayed in room 4 - lovely

Stayed for one night with our son and daughter, Theresa looked after us really well and the rooms were really clean, both had ensuite and were very comfortable and quiet - even though people were coming and going. Breakfast was excellent and catered for my son who is a vegetarian. Yes, car parking may mean you have to park about 60m away which we had to do when we arrived, but we parked right outside overnight and there are also residents passes if you need them. Handy for the seafront but location ensures you dont get the all noise and people passing. Will definately stay here again and well deserving of the top 5 spot on tripadvisor.

Room Tip: We had a room overlooking the church and facing toward the seafront.

Stayed for three nights, Theresa was very nice, good food, good conversation, enjoyed the stay, parking was less enjoyable, on street parking is a pain! As others have said 24hr residents permit is available, but its still a pain

Stayed for five nights at this lovely guesthouse. The welcome was first class with tea and cakes, every day breakfast was wonderful with excellent choice of cereals to add to the cooked breakfast which we looked forward too. Parking was no problem and a 24hr parking permit was available if required. The room we had was on the ground floor, spotlessly clean with a bath and over bath shower with plenty of hot water.I would certainly recommend The Weatherdene to anyone wishing to visit Gt Yarmouth. This guest house is a gem. Theresa is a wonderful hostess and we shall be returning as soon as possible>

Room Tip: All rooms are spotless.
