Have visited the Red Leaf a few time now and every time the meal has been of a very high standard. A plate of prawn crackers greets you and there was not a long wait for a table. a good choice on the menu. I would highly recommend the Red Leaf in Great Yarmouth.

We turned up by chance on a Saturday night, not having booked. We were asked to sit and wait until a table became available. A bowl of prawn crackers was silently put on the table near to us, we hoped they were for us and ate them! We were shown to our table in around 5 minutes. We were really impressed with how classy the place looked. We were given a menu entitled 'buffet' which contained a huge variety of dishes. The waitress came to take our order. As we'd never been before we found it a little confusing at first and it would have been nicer if the waitress had explained it to us. She seemed a little stressed at first but very soon we found we could have a giggle with her! We chose 4 starters, as advised! They were outstanding, with the meat falling off the spare rib bones. Next we ate duck and pancakes before choosing our mains. The waitress said we could choose 4 again, and then said to choose 2 more as we had " a big table" lol All in all the food was delicious and plentiful if you chose to re-order. A thoroughly enjoyable dining experience and one we hope to repeat!

We have been coming here since the day it opened and cannot fault anything. The lunch time specials, where you get a starter, main and a drink for something ridiculously cheap like £7.50 is AMAZING value, and if I lived or worked in Yarmouth then this would be my lunch time haunt! I can thoroughly recommend the chicken and sweetcorn soup, chicken satay, and the red thai curry with prawns is just amazing. Service is always served with a smile :)
The 'buffet' ( I think on a Saturday/Sunday eve) is another amazing deal, you get a starter, duck and pancakes and main courses, all cooked to order, not a help yourself to warm unappetising food, but cooked to order, as much as you can eat, a great opportunity to try meals you would never normally try. A fab place which is a must visit when you come to Yarmouth...

Went into the restaurant for dinner and had not booked as our original choice on the South Quay was closed when we turned up. The food was excellent and the place was fully sold out even though it was mid week. We waited a little while and a table became available. Service was excellent and the food was great too.

After finding this place we went in to have the all you can eat menu.
The food was very nice, we had a few starters, crispy duck and I had kung po chicken and prawn (the lady cooked it special for me as usually the chicken and prawn are separate kung po dishes)
Service was good, they made a mistake with the starters, apologies and brought us the one we were expecting as well as what we already had.
In short, it's a nice Chinese and I would visit again.
