It was just perfect !
To be able to enjoy a overnight break one must feel comfortable in ones surroundings. Our room was squeeky clean . Shower was great and the bed was so comfortable that we got a good old sleep. Breakfast was good and there was plenty of it. Could not fault the service friendly and very helpful.
Season had not really begun , kids still in school so it was a bit quite in the town but we had a lovely Greek meal. Like i said Perfect !!!

My husband and I stayed at The White Lodge during our recent visit to Great Yarmouth. Eddie and Jean were so warm and friendly and George, the pup, was so memorable. This B&B is spotless and the breakfasts are delicious, prepared just like my British mother. Be sure to book your next stay in Great Yarmouth at The White Lodge.

This was a very comfortable stay. They breakfasts are fantastic and location away from the central arrea and very resonably priced. Would strongly recommend staying here.

Very nice little b & b. We had a nice welcoming smile from Jean and woof from George. The place was very clean and the bedrooms were lovely, trendy yet had a home from home feel. The breakfast was a highlight and there was plenty of it! We had no complaints and it was just perfect for what we wanted. Would defo go back and recommend to a friend!!! Well done && thank you :) xxxx Sam, Nathan, Malc && Janet.

Could not fault this hotel, Jean, Eddie and their adorable dog George were very welcoming and made you feel at home!
The room was pretty and cosy, hotel was spotless, lovely character and decor!
A great variety for breakfast, the fry up should not be missed as it was so nice, big and piping hot!
Great location as just down road from all the main seafront activities and entertainment, but hidden away in a lovely quiet residential setting overlooking the sea!
Would definately recommend and we will be returning!
~ Thanks for a great stay ~

First time in great yarmouth read the reviews and booked up the day before only had one room left so felt lucky.stayed for 4 nights.its in a lovely position out in a residential area nice and quiet ideal if you like a little stroll.the beach is across the road so you can walk by the sea all the way up the front which we loved.the room was a little small but one of the cleanest iv been in it had a small balcony where you could sit with a drink overlooking the garden.it was cleaned every day and a bottle of water and some biscuits were left which is a lovely touch.jean and eddie are lovely people very cheerful and welcoming.the breakfast is fantastic you wont get better for sure.you can have anything its all gorgeous and george well hes the most adorable dog you will find i love him.theres nothing bad to say about this bb well worth its no 1 rating.

I have just returned from another superb three day break at the White Lodge. I have now stayed with Jean and Eddie on five occasions and this time took my friend Linda along too. This was her first visit and, as she has serious back problems, Jean gave her the large downstairs room which is ideal for less able-bodied people and also has a sea view. Linda was absolutely thrilled with her large kingsize comfy bed and the luxurious furnishings. My room was on the first floor and of a very high standard, as are all the 10 ensuite ones in this wonderful little guest house which is located right beside the coast road near the dunes to the north of the town but well within walking distance of the centre.

I now feel that Jean and Eddie are real friends and they do everything to ensure that their guests are treated like one of the family. From the flowers in each bedroom, the high quality shampoo and shower gel, lovely fluffy towels and beautiful bed linen there are so many little touches to make your stay special.

The breakfasts were as usual superbly cooked by Eddie and accompanied by a great choice of cereals, fresh fruit, breads, juices, and a wide variety of different teas and coffees. Linda and I are both gluten, wheat and dairy-free but this was no problem as Jean always provides suitable bread and biscuits for people with special diets. As long as guests let her know their requirements beforehand she makes every effort cater for them and it is so refreshing to find such accommodating hosts.

All in all a thoroughly enjoyable stay once again - anyone searching for quiet, stress-free accommodation in the Yarmouth area need look no further than the White Lodge - surely one of the friendliest, cleanest, most re-visited guest houses on the Norfolk Coast!
