Firstly the location was great.Away from the main town which can be a bit noisy. Right opposite the seafront which is great. The house gave a welcoming feeling as did Jean, Eddie, Andrew and not forgetting George. The room was spotlessly clean and the bedding and towels were of top quality. We were spoiled for choice for breakfast which was served in a beautiful light and airy dining room over-looking the well kept garden.Everything on the tables matched and each table had fresh flowers as did the rooms. We have stared recommending friends to stay at this unique guest house We noticed that many guests go there . time after time because they feel as we do ,that it is home from home. So watch out!!! We will be back !!!!

We were looking for somewhere to stay with our 2 teenagers for a 4-day short break over the half-term holiday. We did a lot of research, and decided to try the White Lodge. We were a little unsure of the TripAdvisor reviews - at the time it showed 99x 5-stars and 3x 4-stars, and nothing below. Given the reviews of other properties, we thought ratings this good were a bit unlikely - but we were wrong. The high ratings are very well deserved.

Booking was very easy, Jean (the owner) was extremely helpful, and we got a very warm welcome upon arrival (and throughout our stay). We even got a card and special heart-shaped poached eggs for breakfast!! as she knew it was our 20th Wedding Anniversary.

The rooms were modern and well decorated, the beds extremely comfortable. The towels were all Egyptian cotton. The location is right by the beach, at the quieter end of town, but the main town is easy to walk to along the road or beach - or you can even take the road-train that runs right outside.

Breakfasts are a selection of cereals, toast, juices, coffee, tea, etc. plus your choice of cooked English Breakfast, Smoked Haddock and Eggs, or Poached Eggs on Toast etc. Between us I think we tried everything, and everyone agreed that the breakfasts are excellent.

Overall, I cannot think of ANY reason not to go back - I am certain that if we go to Great Yarmouth again, this is where we will stay.

We received a lovely warm welcome on arrival. The room and ensuite were well laid out, beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. The bed was amazingly comfortable, it honestly was the best nights sleep we've had in some time.

Breakfast is yummy. There is plenty to choose from if you fancy cereal, yoghurt, fruit juice, etc. The cooked breakfast is a great option and really sets you up for the day.

The location is ideal, being only a two minute walk from the start of the promenade. Yet far enough away from the busier parts. There is plenty of free parking.

It is obvious how much hard work goes in to maintaining their very high standards. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend or rebook, would be good to see George (their very friendly dog) and the mini-egg laying chickens again.

we would highly recomend anyone traveling on a bike to stay at the white lodge, they provide ample off road parking and even secured our motorcycle behind locked gates, this along with price per person was, like most bikers, our main priority and we were not disapointed!! and what a bonus for us after leaving our staffy at home we were greated by george the family star! anyone who is not a dog lover need not be concerned as jean & eddie ensure that their family dog does not enter any guest rooms or dining area but he does like to say hello. the room was exellent spottlessly clean with lovely clean crisp bed linen, the bed was superb & after riding nearly 300miles that day it was just delicious!!jean & eddie have obviously worked hard at referbishing to a high standard!! we have stayed in various b&bs good & bad but this was 1 of the best for a very hearty breakfast served by their friendly son andrew .go & stay you wont be disapointed well worth paying a little extra for a whole lot more, thanx for a lovely time we only wished we could have stayed longer...best wishes phil & lisa

This is our 10th visit to the White Lodge and we still find it clean, comfortable, and friendly. Jean, Eddie and George always make our stay special whether we are only there for 1 night or 3 everything remains top quality. I would recommend anyone to stay at the white lodge whether it is business or for fun. It is an exceptional Guest House with exceptional hosts. Thank you

This was a friendly and efficient b&b, giving above average service at a reasonable price. Close to front but away from busy centre, but still near enough to shops and amusements. Very good breakfast.
