great place to visit especially on a wet day. In some places, it is looking a little tired and the information about the various species could be more detailed but overall very well laid out, very friendly and enthusiastic staff, great lighting and other effects - a fascinating experience.

“On a rainy weekday - the only thing open!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 April 2012

Cost - very expensive and not worth the entry unless you have a 2-4-1 offer voucher.

staff - except for the entry lady and the gift shop lady everyone else was lovely and helpful. The 2 ladies were brisk, grumpy and appeared unhappy to be there - so dont work there doh! The men with the penguins were greaqt - it was the penguins birthday and the kids loved the celebrations. The 2/3 people running the restaurant side of things did very well considering they were very busy. Kids especially loved getting to stroke the star fish and the guy helping there was great with them.

Venue - has improved with the interactive things available now which gives it a 4 not a 3. kids get excited doing the questionaire on the way round, loved stroking the star fish and loved panning for 'gold and treasure'. The added bonus of the play centre in the restaurant area is great too for dragging out your visit on a rainy day. for a few pounds too the kids loved doing the sand art. Wouldnt bother with the pic you do on entry - overpriced. if they reduced their margins on them they'd probably sell more and make more money in the long run?!?

Food - basic but cheap and enough for oyur money, kids meals free with an adults meal. good value.

All round good trip and would visit again.

“Excellent”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 April 2012

I have been to a few of these in various places, and honestly if it hadn't been such bad weather we may have missed this beauty.
We were both very very impressed, the staff were so helpful and informative and it was all very interesting and quite impressive. I fell in love with the Rays, I could have spent all day watching them. Then you go through a tunnels with the sharks swimming above, very impressive.
It really is worth a visit. If you pop in to the tourist information just along the sea front you can pick up many money off coupons for various attractions and this being one of them.
Well done 10/10.They stamp your hand so that you can go back in later that day for one of the talks or feeding times.

“A good but expensive place to visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 April 2012

Went with a party of Nursery children as part of their topic work. We had a good look round, the sharks and turtles together with the penguins were very popular. However, I would say that if you were on holiday and wanted to take the family, it could prove a very expensive couple of hours.

“Not Good”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 April 2012

The worst Sealife centre I have been round in the UK.

Limited things to see, staff that look disinterested and generally very expensive for what it is (even with the 2for1 vouchers they push all over town)

Best avoided.
