Owner description: The Pleasure Beach with its mixture of high-octane rides and traditional attractions sits at the top of Great Yarmouth's Golden Mile dominating the seafront skyline with its famous Skydrop. Spread over nine acres, the Pleasure Beach offers huge family fun, full-throttle white knuckle rides to exhilarate and thrill, water attractions to catch your breath and fun rides to keep the children happy for hours. Our roller coaster has been the star attraction since 1932 and is still a crowd puller today. More than 1.1 million visitors enjoyed the Pleasure Beach experience in 2013, confirming our place in the top 10 UK free entry amusement parks. And even more attractions, rides and innovations are on their way.

if you have a toddler you can get a midi band which are fab value for money. But if you have a 4-7 year old dont bother with the wrist bands, or going at all, because everything is so expensive adults have to pay full price for a wrist band, because they have to go on the rides with the children, but then cant go on any of the big rides because the children cant get on them.

we were looking forward to taking three teenagers here but after walking around it first was a little disappointed and the price did not justify the few rides they have.

I visited Pleasure Beach today with the family for my daughters third birthday - and we had a lovely day. The sun shone, and with the older ones back at school she could literally stay on the rides she liked best. She did her first rollercoaster (a MUST for rollercoaster fans - the only one of it's kind left in the UK, and one of 8 left in the world. It also has no breaks on the track so it has an employee who manually does the breaks with a lever - a real different experience) and really enjoyed herself.

We were lucky enough to win wristbands and we paid the extra to top them up to parent and toddler wristbands, which saved a lot of money on odd tokens. It's kind of simple - if you want to do lots of rides, get wristbands and save money. If you only want a few, get tokens and you will pay less.

If you want massive thrill rides and a huge layout, then spend the extra money on one of the bigger theme parks, but for a family day out we had a great time here. No queues, and almost all of the staff (allowance given for one grumpy one) - were helpful and happy. This far into the season that is no mean feat.

If you are in Great Yarmouth and you are looking for a theme park go to Pleasurewood Hills it is far superior to the Pleasure Beach this is a funfair with a rollercoaster from the 50s and it is tired looking, yes they do have a few modern rides, and if you just want to take the toddlers or young children to amuse them for an hour or two this will suffice but not if you like the big rides even Pleasurewood Hills is not in the same league as Chessington World Of Adventure, Thorpe Park, Flamingo Land, Alton Towers, in fact The Pleasure Beach reminds me of my youth in the 50s where a rollercoaster like they have at Pleasure Beach was the scariest ride in the park !!!!
