Owner description: The Pleasure Beach with its mixture of high-octane rides and traditional attractions sits at the top of Great Yarmouth's Golden Mile dominating the seafront skyline with its famous Skydrop. Spread over nine acres, the Pleasure Beach offers huge family fun, full-throttle white knuckle rides to exhilarate and thrill, water attractions to catch your breath and fun rides to keep the children happy for hours. Our roller coaster has been the star attraction since 1932 and is still a crowd puller today. More than 1.1 million visitors enjoyed the Pleasure Beach experience in 2013, confirming our place in the top 10 UK free entry amusement parks. And even more attractions, rides and innovations are on their way.

“LACKLUSTRE PLEASURE BEACH”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 June 2014

Visited great Yarmouth yesterday(24th) parked up in St. Nicholas car park for few hours and decided to wander around the pleasure beach first and we were shocked at the place. Not many holidaymakers, it seemed to be very drab and rundown and most of the rides looked the same. I know that their is serious
lack of visitors to ant British seaside resorts, but they, the owners
should be looking at sprucing the fair up.

“No Frills day out but kids will love it”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 June 2014

I felt like we had stepped back in time and to be honest a lot of people will be put of by how it looks. We had a 4 year old boy with us who was very excited by the sights of the rides so had no option to turn back. The rides all look like rejects from theme parks that have passed them on due to looking outdated. You could question the safety of them but because it is so high profile attraction you do have the confidence that it must be checked.

The rides are quite retro and very varied and some a great deal better than others. The rollercoaster is great if not a bit of a boneshaker. I definitely recommend that you book online in advance to save money and without question get the wristbands. With the wristbands you can spend all day there and get on the rides as many times as you want and you could also go out to lunch and then come back later in the day.

If you can leave your snobbery at the gate then it is a great day out for the kids... and of course the adults that get to see the kids enjoying themselves.

“Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 June 2014

We spent a lovely day at the Pleasure Beach yesterday. There is a good selection of rides, and plenty to do for the younger children. We went with 2.5 year old and a 5 year old and they were both well catered for. The park was clean and tidy and the staff were very pleasant. It was nice to see a slightly older group of staff operating the rides. The park was reasonably busy but there was no problem getting on any of the rides and no queues. Plenty of toilet facilities and places to eat and drink or merely just sit down. Both girls loved it and want to go back

“Great Day Out With The Family”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 June 2014

The Park Itself Is Situated On The Far End Of The Seafront Close To The Harbour. The Park Has Numerous Family Rides And Offers The Option To Purchase Wrist Bands Off Peak At £17 Per Adult. The Roller Coaster Itself Is The Oldest Ride There And Always Tends To Be The Most Busy One. The Park Itself Is Tidy And Has A Small Arcade On Site Also. The Refreshments Are Basic If You Like Chips, Hot Dogs, Burgers Then Your Fine.

“Transported Back In Time”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 June 2014 via mobile

We were on a short break in Great Yarmouth and called at the Pleasure Beach. We decided just to buy £20 worth of tokens. You could buy a wristband for an adult and child for £23 but then we were restricted to only one of us going on the rides with our daughter.
First appearance of the park was that it looked very dated and that we'd gone back to the 1960's although once we'd been on a couple of rides that was forgotten. My daughter loved the rides especially the caterpillar rollercoaster, the bus ride and dodgems. The tokens were really good value and we felt like we got our moneys worth. The staff on the park were really friendly too we would return if we visit Great Yarmouth again.
