I took my family swimming and quite how anyone can praise this place is a mystery, moody ignorant staff, dirty changing facilities, disgusting toilets and a pool with visible rubbish floating around.

Life guards that are more interested in the young girls than doing what they are paid for to ensure the paying public stays safe are indicative of the poor quality of staff working in this facility .

If it were not for the recession this place would have been demolished and new facilities built that would have been something to celebrate, this place however is one to avoid.

We went for one of the Fun sessions at the pool. This is a well organised event. Fun sessions are ticketed so limited availability. This means the pool is not overcrowded and there is plenty of space to move around. The kids loved the inflatables and the wave sessions which come on every so often. The slide is basic but the large inflatable course for the kids was their favourite going on this over and over again. At the end of the 1 and a half hour session everyone has to get out of the pool for the next ticket session but by then you are ready to go anyway.

The only thing I would say is that there are no family changing rooms like at other pools. This can be awkward when trying to look after a number of children and we only brought with us 1 shampoo bottle and one shower gel bottle and as the showers are in the changing rooms it meant the girls got clean bodies and the boy clean hair. A minor point though. Lockers are provided for 20 or 50p, I forget, and is refunded on return.

I thought it good value for money at any time, especially if your kids like water. It's not a water park but still lots of safe fun.
