We booked for just one night on the internet, we were really pleased with the location, really close to shops and seafront
Room was very clean, a little claustraphobic, we were tucked away at the back of the hotel, presumably because we were only there one night, just one small window which we had to climb over bed to reach, but we had all we needed, it was ok.
The lift was challenging, was definitely an experience, not sure I felt that safe as it wobbled and jolted, but glad to say no mishaps! there was a very strange smell in the corridors..... we couldn't make up our minds if it was sewerage, damp, some weird joss sticks or the air freshners in situe throughout......
The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was self service and plentiful.
Would definitely stay here again, but just try not to think about the origin of the smell!

Room Tip: Ask for room at front?

We spent a short break (Mon - Fri) in the Waverley at end of July. The hotel is ideally situated – a few minutes’ walk from the beach and main shopping area. Our room was v clean and nicely furnished. We were made to feel very welcome. The restaurant staff were very friendly and obliging. Would definitely return in the future.

The hotel is ideally located within a short walk to the main shopping street and Joyland. The streets are very busy for parking although you can get a parking permit from the hotel if you can find somewhere to park. There is live music in the evenings and a nice bar and lounge area. Breakfast is quite nice with cereal, toast and fried food, There is also coffee, tea, orange and apple juice. The lift is old and dreadful. There is a huge bump as soon as you press the button to go and stop and you can only fit two people in at a time. The bedrooms are adequate but not overly clean and the gulls are very big and keep you awake at night.

Room Tip: The family room is a great size, it has a king size and a double in the same room with plenty of roo...

We just spent the Bank Holiday weekend here, The staff are friendly and very helpful. The rooms were great. we had a double suite and it was huge, My Mum had a single room and again it was very spacious. The buffet breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and all very fresh. It is a stones throw for the pier, if you have a room at the front you can see the sea. It is also next to the shops so is in a prime location. The previous reviews about noise in the front are slightly true. We were woken by noisy holiday makers walking past a couple of times but it didn't ruin our stay. As I say the staff are wonderful and very helpful and I will definitely stay here again. Only negative is trying to find a parking space can be tricky if it is a busy weekend be prepared to drive round more than once.

Room Tip: If you have a room at the front you can see the sea, pay a bit extra for a suite for more room.

We spent one night here during the August bank holiday weekend. It seems to have been renovated in recent years and so is in good condition. Efficient and friendly service, good clean room, well organised breakfast. Good location with a short walk to the main pier. The only tricky thing is finding parking on the street, but every town centre hotel probably has this situation. We did find a space outside and the hotel gave us a residents parking permit. I think that there are some car parks a few roads away but I did not need to use them.

Stayed 4 nights. Lovely clean room. Chose this hotel as it had a lift and was close to beach as we holidayed with elderly Mother. Liked the convenience of having the option to purchase evening meal (which we did).Staff were friendly and everything was run efficiently. This hotel ticked all the boxes for us. A very pleasant stay and we would definitely choose this hotel again.

Room Tip: We were specifically given a room near the lift because of my Mums mobility but it can be noisy so a...
