This place isn't well advertised but you will find it along the seafront in Great Yarmouth. Admission is relatively cheap and we spent about 45 minutes wandering around looking at the various reptiles and amphibians - although if you have children they may run around it all in 10 minutes! In addition to this there are also a couple of meercats and some guinea pigs. I have to say, we spent more time watching the guinea pigs than anything else as they have the most amazing and funky guinea pig enclosure I've ever seen! My only concern was that they didn't seem to have a great deal of hay, although they looked healthy enough. Some of the enclosures could have done with being larger, there is a large lizard near the entrance who seemed quite agitated during much of our visit and was constantly climbing against the glass walls. One feature of Amazonia is that you can hold many of the animals for a small charge. You can also pay a little extra to sit in with the meercats - there was a couple of girls sat in with them during our visit and the meercats seemed to love all the attention - they were more like pets than wild animals. This place makes a nice change from the usual seaside attractions in Great Yarmouth and of course great when the weather outside isn't too good.
