The museum is small but well laid out with many interesting artifacts, some of which it is possible to handle. This is a great asset when visiting with children. There were a few costumes available to dress up in too. The museum staff were friendly and welcoming. The building is in a lovely old building which shows how it has changed over the years. There is an interesting commentary on the hand held "wand" but children would find it too detailed to hold their attention. The kitchen and dining rooms are most interesting. There is a small garden in a courtyard from which it is worth looking up at the adjoining old buildings. There are also a few games for anyone to try.
