“One of the best value for money meals in a long while!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 August 2014

We were attracted to this restaurant by the cleanliness and decor, and the impression of quality transferred directly to the service and the food. Our order was taken swiftly by a smiley and obliging waitress, for whom nothing seemed too much trouble, including swapping a coupe of veg. choices for our children (aged 8 & 10) The fish and chips were piping hot (obviously freshly-cooked) with proper chippy-style chips and sublime 'mushy' peas. The meal was accompanied by two thick and appetising slices of bread and butter and a soft drink, for the bargain price of £6.95 each. The children were similarly well-catered to; crisp and juicy scampi and very home-made seeming chicken bites. We were well satisfied and would certainly return!
(Full marks to the proprietor for his determined rebuttal of the negative reviews!)

“wow”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 August 2014

This restaurant was recommended to us by friends. Omg well worth a visit. Fish, chips, bread and butter, mushy peas and a tea or coffee £6.95 on the specials board was amazing. We had 2 of these then 2 kids fish chips and beans. It was a hot day so 5 cans of "pop" too and the total bill was £26. The kids portions were more than ample. The fish was amazing. Service friendly. Clean and tidy.

This Restaurant has recently been updated and is now an attract and welcoming place to eat. The Menu is just as you would expect but the food and presentation was far superior to similar establishments. Good value.

“Against a mountain of competition glad we chose right.”

Walking along the front there are many, many places offering more of the same. Was attracted by the fact it looked clean and tidy. Sat down and was served immediately. Food turned up quickly and was obviously cooked fresh. Tasty and good value for money. Very pleased as staff were nice, everything was just as you'd like.
