Went away for a couple of days to celebrate partners birthday .Found this hotel on bookings.com and could find nothing to fault it rooms were spotless ,staff helpful ,lovely and quiet short distance to beach .Had a fantastic couple of days and looking forward to returning next year.

Room Tip: we chose a suite a little bit extra in price but well worth it.

We found this cracking hotel last year, and have stayed twice since, this weekend we visited again and the service and food were fantastic, if you want to be spoilt and eat fine food in Great Yarmouth this is the place, no children screaming and running, just lovely and quiet,

We would recommend to all, but then we might not be able to get a room for our next visit!!

Room Tip: The suites are good value, worth the extra.

The rooms were nice, the breakfast was good, but the service was fantastic. Everyone working there was good at what they were doing, they were fast at doing it, everything was well presented, they didn't mind, in fact were eager to, go out of their way to help (they went out specially to buy a cucumber for my gin&tonic because they were out!) and were generally just very nice to talk to!

Apart from the staff, the breakfast was excellent, and the whole place LOOKED nice too. Fresh and well decorated. My room was quite small (room 14), but adequate for what I was needing. A comfortable bed, wifi and a good shower.

I just hope there are rooms next time I'm back!

I am so pleased you mention room 14. As a 'small' double, it does do what it is supposed to do. Even though all of our rooms are fairly new, very clean and fresh, I have some plans for a few rooms to upgrade the decor once again and number 14 is one of my most exciting projects!

Great location, a stone's throw from the seafront yet a lovely tranquil setting. A very warm welcome from the staff and the service throughout our stay was excellent. The building has been very tastefully restored in a modern style yet retaining its character. The rooms comfortable with top quality bedding. A very nice ambience in the bar, serving top quality drinks at reasonable prices. Continental breakfast very good. Could not fault it. Will definitely return. Had a wonderful stay. Thank you to all the team at Andover House, job well done!

Thank you Suze Q! I personally think you should have a job in writing reviews as it was beautifully written. Many thanks for taking time out to write about us, it really does mean a lot to little family run businesses like ours!

After a tranquil week in Cromer, my husband and I thought we would do a more hectic couple of days of crazy golf, beach and arcades, so we chose Great Yarmouth, but whilst we were there wanted a good place to stay. Andover House was superb. The staff are so attentive and polite and our room ( room 10) was beautiful, you wouldn't think you were in Yarmouth as even though it is a stones throw away from the seafront it is situated on a tree lined street and all was quiet.

We decided to eat in their restaurant on the Friday and again we were not disappointed, the food was excellent perhaps a little expensive, but beautifully cooked and presented, well worth the treat. So pleased we found Andover house and we would definitely recommend

What a little gem of a hotel! Tucked away just off the prom at Gt Yarmouth on a quiet sidestreet where the noisest neighbours were the early morning seagulls, the building is a traditional seaside hotel, but recently modernised to the highest design standards. The welcome we received on check-in could not have been warmer (a pot of tea made and our bags taken upstairs while we were in the office) The room was attractively designed with a bay window and a four poster bed. The bathroom was (necessarily) small but spotless and here's my only quibble: the addition of a small shelf over the sink would have made life considerably easier for us contact lens wearers.

The real strength of Andover House lies in its staff. Interested, invested, friendly and helpful, every member of staff we came across was a credit to the hotel. I'm going to single out Iris for going way beyond the call of duty in trying to find us somewhere to eat on a Sunday evening when nothing was open locally except chippies. She took it as a professional affront when a restaurant a few miles away did not answer their phone, and harried them until she was able to make us a booking.

The public areas were comfortable and attractive. The breakfasts were excellent, with a wide choice available for the continental breakfast, and a deilcious cooked breakfast. We had one dinner in the hotel which was worthy of an upmarket London hotel. Now we're looking for excuses to come back to Gt Yarmouth to stay at the Andover House again!

we booked this hotel originally to stay in two suites, with three of my friends for a girly wknd away.
It all went wrong and long story short my friend and i went with our husbands instead. There was a mess up with the rooms and dates the hotels fault but they were amazing about it and gave us huge discount.
Hotel is very smart and staff were very friendly and super helpful.
Breakfast was lovely and very healthy. Breakfast was a grilled breakfast small but plenty to fill you with the rest of the continental breakfast too. Wasn't greasy and tasted amazing.
Evening wise we drove to Oulton to some wine bars as didnt fancy Yarmouth at night.
they let us book into our room early as it was ready our friends were in and unpacked at 1pm.
we were half an hour late leaving the next day but it wasnt a problem and they said we could always leave our bags securely in the hotel until we needed them.
everything was clean and tidy and our room was lovely ( a house double with bay window, 19.)
Bed was sooo comfy with a mattress topper.
A great stay, my parents have now booked to go in September.

Room Tip: Get a bay window room if poss.
