Maluth Lodge
Ranked #34 of 99 Great Yarmouth B&B and Inns
Reviewed 20 August 2013

If you want somewhere clean, quiet, within strolling distance of Central Beach and the racecourse, then this is the best place to stay.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home. Helen and Jeff are great hosts and go the extra to make sure you have everything you need. They work hard to keep the Maluth spotless and the breakfast is of great quality and plentiful.

As mentioned, the Maluth is 2 mins from the sea front and a gentle 15 mins stroll to the centre of Great Yarmouth and a 15 mins gentle stroll the other direction to the racecourse.

If we were to return to Great Yarmouth, we will definitely be staying here. We recommend you stay at the Maluth Lodge.

What a lovely guest house. Helen and Jeff are excellent hosts and work extremely hard. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. TV, tea, coffee etc, hairdryer. Excellent power shower. The breakfast was to die for. It's a 15 minute stroll to the Pier and main shopping centre and arcades etc and 5 minutes to the beach. I am giving Maluth Lodge 10 out of 10. You will not be disappointed. Thank you guys we will be returning x

This b&b is well worth a visit. A very big thank you to Helen & Jeff for making our visit worth while. This is a very friendly, cosy, clean b&b with home comforts. All the personal touches made our stay home from home. We highly recommended this lodge. Thanks Helen & Jeff, all the best - Ray & Hazel West Yorkshire .

We enjoyed our stay at this b&b in Great Yarmouth. The room we stayed in although perhaps a little small did have all the little extras like lotions and things in the shower room. It also had satellite TV which if you go to Gt Yarmouth off season you will find very useful. The owner was very friendly and helpful with plenty of local information. I loved the breakfast was great and the breakfast chef was happy to do me a bit of fried bread with my fry up in the morning. When i booked it i had the impression it was going to be more along the lines of a hotel, the room costing £60 added to these thoughts. But it is worth keeping in mind that it is a terraced house being used as a B&B and so you will get squeaky floorboards above and ppl walking around in the early hours in the room upstairs. There was plenty of free parking in the roads around the property. Overall we enjoyed our short stay at Maluth Lodge

Thank you for your review, we are glad you enjoyed your stay with us, albeit a very short one, at late availability.
I'm sorry if you were under the impression we were a hotel, at no point did nor do we use the word hotel as we are guest accomodation.
The property is a terraced property, but not as you suggest just "being used as a B&B", we are fully registered as guest accomodation, licensed and inspected, and accredited 4 stars with a silver award, by visit britain.
there was problem with noise from the room above, while looking into this we discovered there was a problem with the bed in the above room, that has now been rectified and will no longer be a problem, thank you for pointing that out.
We do hope you would consider us again on another visit.
Thank you

I booked a couple of days at the Maluth lodge as a last minute get away with the children. We were not disappointed with our stay, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, en suite with awesome shower, the breakfast was perfect and Helen and Jeff were the perfect hosts. It is a little further from town than many but it's worth it for the accommodation. I will definately stay there again and would gladly recommend. Oh - and Bob was great too :)
