“Friday and Saturday during May 2014”
Reviewed 19 May 2014

Booked the Château to attend a re union in Yarmouth. Extremely welcoming hosts (Richard and Jackie). Comfortable room and plenty of facilities available if needed. We were allocated room 5 and the very small, but functional, en-suite was eclipsed by the view of the sea front which on sunny days is hard to be beaten. Everything needed for a short stay was in the room also plenty of hangers in the wardrobe.

Very clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable and although right on the sea front there was no intrusive noise from revellers if you have your windows shut.

For breakfast there was a good and varied selection and the plates were hot for the cooked meals.

The hotel was full when we were there and I found car parking at the rear required a lengthy reverse to the exit. Not a problem if you park in front of the hotel.

All in all a good stay and for a reasonable rate.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front have a very good view

Myself and my family have been regular visitors to the Chateau hotel for many years now, and I know I speak for us all when I say that the Chateau is a lovely friendly hotel, in a prime location. Jackie and Richard are always very welcoming and give the hotel it's personal, family friendly feel. Breakfast is also a highlight of the day, and with views to the beach you can't really ask for more. The hotel is a short walk to many local attractions which is perfect for families.
The Chateau really does speak for itself and it's friendly atmosphere means that people like myself come back time and time again.
Would recommend to anyone thinking about a holiday in Great Yarmouth, you won't be disappointed!

we stayed one night at this b&b after being recommended it and found it didn't disappoint though it wasn't perfect, the host were great and very accommodating, the view from the room (number 5) offered perfect views of the beach and sea the only drawback about the room was the tiny bathroom which could of been a problem if staying longer, the breakfast offered a wide range of options only thing i would change would be the quality of the sausage which wasn't the best. Overall an enjoyable stay would stay again.

eauHave just returned from a wonderful 4 night stay at the Château Hotel, perfectly positioned opposite the boiling greens on Yarmouth seafront, 3 minuets walk opposite the hotel and your on the beach, and 5 minuets walk to the Cinema, Britannia pier, and Regent Road, the main shopping street up to the town.

The proprietors, Jackie and Richard are very professional, and nothing seems to be to much trouble, any thing you want to know about Yarmouth, just ask Richard, a mind of information, and if he doesn’t know the answer to your question he will go out of his way to find out.

I stayed in room 4, a twin room with my daughter, a good size, nicely decorated, spotlessly clean, overlooking the boiling greens and the sea, with all the amenities I would need.

Breakfast was amazing, it must have been even my daughter even got out of bed in time, from a full English to kippers, haddock and toasted muffin with smoked salmon, I have never had such a choice, in fact I really needed to stay a another few days just to try everything on the menu.

Parking in Yarmouth like any other popular seaside resort is a nightmare, you need to be down on the front by 9am or your find yourself having to park miles away, with a parking fee of at least £5 for the day, so the chateau’s own car park is a god send.

Over all a very pleasant stay, made even more so by the chateau and its proprietors, a recommendation for all visitors to Great Yarmouth.

We arrived on the 13th sept
And wasnt disappointed in anyway.
Owners was very attentive and nothing was to much trouble
They made everyone welcome and informed us of local events n places to eat ect.
The breakfast was the best we've had in any other b&b and worth the drive from sheffield .
A big thanks from me and my wife and will be back again.

Called in at this hotel after deciding to spend two days in Yarmouth. We were shown to Room 8, which was at the front, and gave us great views straight out to sea. The room was very clean and obviously recently decorated, and the solid wood furniture looked new. My partner and I had a great nights sleep, but even better was the breakfast........I have never had fried bread cooked so well with my eggs and bacon. Would definitely recommend to friends and family and have booked again for Sept, as they do this 4 nights for the price of 3 deal.

Room Tip: Great view from Room 8
