This small, out of the way restaurant offers an inviting, intimate feel from the outside and seems the ideallic 'italian' place to be in Great Yarmouth.
Going on reputation, we decided to have a meal here and were met by friendly staff, but felt a bit rushed, being told we only had until x time before we would be unwelcome due to previous bookings. Not put off, we decided to at least have a drink and main meal, including pizza, pasta and wine. Unfortunately, the food was far from traditional italian cousine and to be honest, not quite as good as a well prepared home pizza out of the oven. It was slightly greasy and too heavy on the cheese, plain and quickly prepared. (Not quite as bad as Pizza Hut, but not exactly what we expected.) To be fair, the pricing was good and the food hot. However, unimpressed, we decided to skip the dessert (we would have felt rushed anyway) and try The Italian Restaurant, down the road off of King Street, the next evening, which was very superior.
