Lovely room, spacious public rooms and very helpful staff.
Welcoming and relaxing ambience.
Excellent menu, new each evening, with vegetarian option which was varied and of high standard.
Various games with table-top boards in the lounge.
Very useful daily suggestions for outdoor trips and wildlife spotting or guided tours.
The Wildlife Club for all guests and the associated rooms had terrific facilities for talks/films and a good range of guide books and posters, and information on current wildlife sightings.
Well-located as a base for the Cairngorms and the coast.
A hotel as it should be, like a home from home.

Room Tip: Wide staircases but lift is small so anyone with mobility problems and claustrophobia might be best avoiding higher levels.

I only have two complaints about our week we spent there. The first being the weather which was beyond anyone's control and the second was that, for me, the bed was too soft hence the three stars for that category. I should have mentioned it to the hotel staff at the time as I am sure that they would have rectified it as they were always willing to offer any assistance guests required. Our experience was thoroughly enjoyable and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anybody, especially those who enjoy wildlife.

Excellent hotel and a very friendly welcome from all the staff at the hotel. Very good standard of the room. The hotel was perfectly located for some awsome golf within an hours drive, and the tee times already booked i advance.....super. The restaurant had very well cooked food with great taste. Highly recommended as base for golf and destilleries around speyside. Will definetly return.

The Grant Arms Hotel specialises in providing its guests with quite specific opportunities for holiday pleasure, particularly with regards to wildlife spotting, walking and environmental interests. It succeeds. Good food, pleasant private and public rooms and friendlly and helpful staff contributed to a great September break.

Room Tip: Book early and ask!
