. Staff extremely helpful and great food. Have now been 4 times and cannot fault the service we receive each time. Makes a great base if you want to go walking or even just a bit of sightseeing in Scotland. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel

Business trip required an overnight stay in Granton-on-Spey area. Good decision to stay here after checking Tripadvisor. Friendly staff, great food (fillet steaks were awesome!!) though if you are staying longer than one night don't take room 202! As other reviews mention one of the two room windows is dominated by the metal fire exit! Didn't bother us as only there for one night.
If you like bird watching then this is the place for your base!! Dedicated Club Room and organised trips for bird and nature lovers. And if you enjoy whisky??? A fine selection of malts available with a good Tasting Booklet available in the bar.
Overall a very enjoyable stay and would return for a leisure break.

Room Tip: Room with a view? Avoid 202.

I had had glowing reports of this hotel from a number of birdwatching friends and so booked a four-day short break. It exceeded my expectations
.
The Hotel holds itself out as a 'Birdwatching and Wildlife Hotel' and it is! It provides a number of special rooms dedicated to the area and its wildlife, including an excellent library dedicated to Scottish natural history. Another very welcome feature, though luckily we did not need to make use of it, was a 'drying room'.

The room was extremely comfortable, the food was superb and all of the staff we met were very friendly and helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble for them. We booked our next seven day break before leaving.

Room Tip: Different classes of room are available at a supplement. We were at the front of the Hotel but becau...
