Seafield Lodge Hotel

We have just came home after 3 days of peace and enjoyment, after driving up from Edinburgh we arrived and were shown to our rooms which were the same rooms we were in last year, after a little wandering around we returned to the hotel, we booked a table for the 6 of us and went and got ready.
After a few drinks in the bar we sat down and ordered our meal it was well worth waiting for the 6 of us enjoyed the meals for the next 3 days, the banter with Loretta was a delight and good fun.
we have enjoyed our stay so much we are booking up for next year .
A most enjoyable stay with people who know how to look after you and make your stay a pleasure thanks again Loretta

Waited nearly 25 minutes for plate of soup and glass of wine. NO apology when I complained, either from waiter or agro' owner, all I got was a curt, "we're SO BUSY!??" Only 5 people in bar and 4 in dining room . Also from my bank statement it would seem that I was charged £15.01 for the long awaited soup and glass of wine!
If they can't cope with that number maybe should think of another way of making money- busking? No multi tasking involved.
Bed hard room not at all cosy. Counted 5 various hairs in shower - yuck!!
On arrival, due to change of arrangements asked for single room instead of twin, was refused, so charged twin rates for single
occupancy.

Adding to the excellent score: The food the chef cooks at night is outstanding. What a Delight to order your food knowing that it will be so good. Also the choice out of 90 whiskies is really nice. Well done people!

Just stayed here and booked the superior room, room was a good size and clean but the bathroom is a green dated suite and the shower was terrible, there is also some kind of step dip going into the bathroom which you tripped over every time you went in or out, hurting your toes. We dined in the restaurant as after checking in the waiter told us he recommended us to book as they will be very busy..there was only us in the room..food very basic, peppercorn sauce like water and my husband had paint of lager that had some sort of strange horrible smell to it he couldn't drink it..breakfast ok...but I found a hair in it so I couldn't really eat it...I wouldn't recommend staying here ..the owners welcoming but this hotel needs a total revamp to be charging their prices
