Description: This bar/restaurant haz a lovely feel about it. There is a small bar with an open fire. Speciality food..pies. A variety of pies to choose from including vegetarian fillings. The supplier provides the uncooked pies and the bar cook them. We were told exactly how long we would need to wait before we could eaf right from the start. All pies served with chips anx and cost about £7.25ish. Beans and gravy cost extra. Tbe pies are to die for.

Love the choice of pie and chips in here. Good atmosphere and surroundings are comfortable. Gets very busy but not sure if you can book or not.

You'll want to have a drink with Beryl -- not only to try out the local ales the pub offers and test out its extensive whisky list -- but to hear about her own travels as well as the pub's history. The menu consists of a nice selection of pies served with chips. With its numerous tables and two large red sofas near the wood-burning fireplace, the Craig feels more like a living room than a pub and is a great place to spend a winter evening.

We were looking for somewhere for dinner that was dog friendly and saw the review on TripAdvisor so decided that was for us - two adults, two kids and a very tired German Shepard / husky cross.

The welcome was fantastic and we felt at home straight away - Robbie was great with his banter and the place just had a very friendly feel to it.

The pies were awesome, especially the Matador - was our pie of choice. Wish we could go back and try more but this is our last night on holiday. The thing we liked about them the most was that there was no "filling" in the pie - every piece was in there for a reason.

Definitely recommend this pub for the food, atmosphere and exceptional pies!!!

we were in Grantown on Spey for 3 nights in November and spent each of them in The Craig, the owner Beryl is an absolute hoot and has some great travel stories, Robbie is a friendly and funny guy. The pub itself is down to earth with some interesting characters as regulars. No doubt won't suit everyone but for us it was a great place to relax after a long day exploring Speyside.
