“A fabulous place to stay”
Reviewed 31 July 2014

This is a large old Victorian house at the far end of the town.
It has been done up beautifully. A very comfortable guest lounge with inviting chairs and couches. My room on the top floor was very large and just lovely. The bed was just wonderful. Great bathroom with a really good shower.
Neil and Karen could not have been more helpful and really made my stay there. As a hiker the location was not close to the Speyside trail but Neil very kindly drove me back there the next morning and also took me to the Square where I could get an evening meal.
Breakfast could not have been better and Karen made sure every need was met.
Just loved it and highly recommend it to anyone traveling through the area.

Hello Helen, thank you for reviewing us on TripAdvisor. We value your feedback, and we are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay here, despite being shattered when you arrived here. Our family room is a large room on the top floor, which also has great views over the hills, woods and lochan, and we are delighted that you found the room comfortable. Those beds are super comfy! We hope that the rest of your walk went well and you enjoyed the hike to Aviemore. Karen and Neil

Karen and Neil could not have made our four night stay any better. My husband and I felt like family. Everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Our hosts were gracious and helpful in making suggestions and arranging dinner dates. Beautiful walks and bike trails were close by. Granton on Spey was an excellent location for to visit distilleries. We are looking forward to staying at Rossmor again soon and taking friends.

Thank you Deborah, for your very kind review of both RossMor and Grantown on Spey. We really enjoyed having the chance to get to know you over your 4 night stay, and discussing with you the many sights and activities in the area - not least the 30+ distilleries that you could visit within 30 minutes of RossMor! There's still so much for you to see and do, so we hope to see you again, with your friends, some time soon. Best wishes, Karen and Neil

I stayed at Rossmor Guest House for one night with my friends and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Neil and his wife Karen are very helpful hosts, the room was spacious enough for the three of us and breakfast was awesome!! Neil also pointed out a great dinner location and we left satisfied and wishing we would have had more time there. Would love to come back and will highly recommend this place.

Thank you Helga for staying with us and for taking the time to write such a kind review. We really enjoyed meeting you, it was a shame you only had one night with us. Next time you visit the Highlands, make sure you call us and stay for longer, so you can enjoy the area, and the many attractions and activities it has to offer, to the fullest! Best wishes to you and your friends, Karen and Neil

We were only there for the one night but was made very welcome. Lovely big room, very clean and tidy. Excellent choices for breakfast. Would highly recommend. Grantown on Spey is a pretty place with some quaint shops.

Thank you both, it's so kind of you to take the time to write us a positive review. As you say, Grantown is a lovely place, well positioned for Speyside and the Cairngorm National Park. So handy too for you in Aberdeen! Next time you are over this way give us a call, we'd love to see you again! All the best, Karen and Neil

We had an amazingly comfortable room on the top floor with room to spread out, but despite the incredible space, the best part about Rossmor were the conversations we had with Karen and Neil. They made us feel so at home that by the time we left we felt as welcome as friends. Karen seemed to know exactly what we were looking to do without us being able to describe it exactly, so our stay in Grantown went better than expected. The breakfast choices were as lovely as the room they were served in, and we couldn't have found a nicer place to wrap up our honeymoon.

Thank you for such a lovely review, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay with us, especially as it was the last few nights of your honeymoon. You certainly were able to make the most of your time here. And it's lovely to discuss the history of our home with guests, these old Victorian houses have such character and fascinating history. We hope your journey home went well, with no delays and maybe we will see you again in the future some time. Karen and Neil

Stayed there for six nights and Karen and Neil were unbelievable. So friendly, even offered to drive us to nearby towns to make our day of adventure easier. Great food. I highly recommend the Rossmor.
