We stayed at the luxury lodge for 3 nights and would happily have stayed a week. The lodges are clean, spacious and very well equipped. Top spec kitchen, all bedrooms en-suite, master had a soothing jacuzzi bath, lovely views over Grantham and golf course. You couldn't help but unwind here but also set up ideally for families even if not too many facilities. Hotel was nice too, breakfast was excellent as was sunday carvery. Not too expensive either. Pool looked good. You really couldn't fault it for a relaxing short break and we hope to return.

We booked this break to recover from Xmas.
It didn't start well when the first wine glass out of the cupboard had filthy fingerprints all over it. The plates in there were also dirty, but we found out that the dishwasher needed attention.....but why just put the dirty stuff in the cupboards?
The hotel leisure facilities are tired and there is paint flaking off pillars and monuments in the pool. Water is warm though, and the steam and sauna were very good.
The hotel is expensive for everything, Grantham is only a few miles away and definitely worth the taxi ride if you want to have a few drinks.
The electricity for my wife and I was £37 for the week. We're from the UK so we don't lavish heat on rooms that aren't in use, showered at the pool and only ate in 3 times. The sauna was kept off as were panel heaters when we were out or down in the bedroom. This expense is definitely due to the fact that meters are read on the evening before you leave and people then cranking up the sauna etc (so the next family pay it), this brings the review for the place down from high average to poor. It's a rip off I'm afraid. We were actually looking to buy a week, now that they've dropped significantly in price, but alas the electric issue, and poor reception when we questioned it ,ensured that we won't be buying one. The prices are down from £30k (ish) 2 years ago to a near realistic price now.

Not sure what reveiwer stwilfrid44 is on but their review for one night stay is surely about the Hotel, not the Lodges.

The Lodges are extreamly high quality in their furnishings and maintenance. The places take your breath away as you walk in the door. Most people will never experience the luxury!
Whirlpool bath, power shower, own sauna, balcony overlooking 2 well maintained golf courses. Nature trail paths all arround the estate. Use of the hotel facilities, Gym, Swimming Pool, Bars, Restaurants, tennis, beauty salon, great golf courses plus a 9 hole par 3 course, driving range, Outdoor activity centre with quad biking etc.,
I know this becasue I own a week there and every year have a great relaxing week.

Try the lodges for a week or a 3 or 4 night break stwilfrid44 then you will realise you have posted your reveiw in the wrong place!
