I cant highly recommend this company for its standard of entertainment!!
if you go to a panto this year(2114)watch out for their productions in east midlands>
but the guildhall at grantham is a wonderful venue ,just a nice size .

“Wedding Reception”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 October 2013

My husband and I were married in America, and wanted to hold a reception for all our family and friends when we returned back to the UK. We settled on The Guildhall as we could a) be right in town, easily accessible for those who don't drive or simply wish to drink and be merry b) it had a large enough room to hold everyone c) had a bar and d) allowed us to provide the food ourselves, without having to use the on-site catering etc. There were a few issues such as stating that we were not allowed to extend the hours past 12 o clock, even though the ability to do so is clearly stated on their website, within their wedding documentation - we were also advised that we were be able to do so whilst in the earlier stages, before booking. After questioning the email, which was also quite condescending in places, it took them almost 5 weeks to get back to us and state that, we were right and we would be able to extend...but we had to make the application within the next fortnight. In the end, we decided it was too much hassle and we were too unimpressed that we did not wish to pay any further money out.

Once I was speaking the coordinator, John, however, it became much smoother. He was extremely helpful and provided useful advise. Our reception was in the ballroom and all the companies we used found it very easy to communicate with the Guildhall. On the night it looked beautiful, the staff couldn't have been more helpful and the night went extremely smoothly.

So, although we had a bit of a hiccup, we are glad we chose the Guildhall and would happily recommend it to other couples looking to either get married or to hold a reception following getting married overseas.

“Half term event...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 April 2013

The kids enjoyed getting involved in the Easter Half Term theatre show. The Guildhall hosts a great range of theatre shows and events throughout the year too. The whole family always book up early for the panto at Christmas! A decent cafe for coffee or intervals drinks. Good to see it well supported by the people of Grantham.

“Terrific little venue”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 April 2013

It is so nice to have this venue in our town centre. Ideal for plays, musicals, comedy gigs and musicians alike. With just over 200 seats it's Small enough to feel intimate but big enough to hide away if you want to. I hope they continue to book the wide and varied acts they do use and I hope the local community continues to support this super little venue as often as they can. The food served is not too bad either - worth a visit. The tourist information service can be found in here too.
