“Nearly there - keep trying”
Reviewed 21 February 2012

We stayed at the Premier Inn Grantham because we were clearing my father-in-law's bungalow as he is now resident in a bungalow near us in Gloucestershire. We checked into the hotel all well the staff very welcoming.
Two possible niggles - 1) the shower is pityful - it was raining harder outside! Instead of a dripple a good flow of water would make all the difference. My son and his girlfriend had a room in another part of the hotel and their shower water pressure was very good, my daughter in the room next door had very poor water pressure in ther shower as well (it does take ages to wash the soap off and rinse your hair!) - perhaps a blocked filter??
2) The food in the restaurant is good of pub food quality, but just one or two more meals for those who are not starving themselves to death, but trying to shed a few pounds, would be wonderful. Perhaps there were things on the menu I missed and if that is the case, apologies. Breakfasts had healthy choices and all was freshley cooked if you had cooked breakfast.
So a good place to stay, clean, tidy, friendly staff and we would no doubt stay again, but a bit more water would be wonderful. Are there rooms for £29 ?

We stayed for 1 evening and as soon as we arrived the receptionist was very helpful and pleasant. She made the kids welcome, told us everything we needed to know and informed us about reserving a table for our evening meal as it was Valentine's day. We we were informed about breakfast the following day. The kids beds and cot were made up when we arrived so we didn't even have to make the bed. Everything was in the room and when we ran out of tea and sugar we asked at Reception and was given more with no hesitation. We enjoyed our meal and went to the room to watch TV and although this was next to the A1 you wouldn't have known. No noise whatsoever in the room. We got up for breakfast all the staff in the Brewers Fayre were friendly and as we had until 12 to check out, it was great not having to rush off. Fabulous stay and it was like a little holiday. Thank you

Room Tip: Rooms at the front and ground floor were prefect as we didn't hear any noise from the restaurant...

My husband and I needed somewhere to stay overnight as we were attending a friends wedding and reception in the area. It had excellent ratings on trip advisor, hence why we selected it. I didnt think it would live up to expectations, but it did. I've paid 3 times as much for rooms which havent been as nice. The bed was comfy, the service was great, it was very quiet and well, to be honest I couldnt have asked for more, especially for the price!

i stayed there for 2 nights and had no problems with the hotel.
it was a very comfortable stay very clean room.
only one small gripe not enough tea/coffee and milk in room but if not a big drinker like myself then it would not bother people, but go to recption and they will give you more on request.
on the day i traveled my car broke down took 4 hours for recovery to take me home. but on ringing PI at granthem they were very helpful and managed to move my booking to the day after at no charge.
Resturant was good had no problems with staff they have a curry night on a tuesday & thursday for £5.99 pp all you can eat great value.

Room Tip: i was on the top floor in far corner, even though had A1 just a few yards away there was no noise an...

We stayed in December 2011 for 3 nights and got one for £29. Good value. Although close to the A1, there was no noise from the traffic and the position is great for Lincoln. As always a good welcome from helpful, friendly staff. The room was clean with a large comfortable bed. Bathroom was clean with a good shower and bath. Good housekeeping during our stay. The attached restaurant is a Brewers Fayre serving "pub grub". For me the food was good with plenty of choice but for my wife who is vegetarian, the menu was very limited. A special mention should be made for the restaurant manager, Frank, who is a truly nice guy and made his customers feel very welcome. A great ambassador for Premier Inn.

Excellent room and bed.........Totally let down by the resturant. The staff in the resturant were amateur and incapable as was the manager. The Farrier is one to be avoided far better to go a couple of miles down the road to the only other nearby resturant which is excellent.
