Great stay

Stayed here for one night over bank holiday weekend in April. We wanted to stay longer but they didn’t have the availability.

We stayed in a superior cabin. Very good for the price. Very clean, tidy and had pretty much everything we needed including a kitchenette with all utensils. Dish washer so you don’t have to wash up. There was a dining table, the lounge had a enough comfortable seating for us with a tv.

The bedrooms had enough storage in all the rooms. The beds were comfortable with enough sockets in the right places to charge your modern day gadgets.

The bathroom had a jacuzzi bath and sauna which were very impressive. Very clean too.

The let down for me was a very cheap ironing board which needs replacing. Iron boards aren’t expensive so please invest in better quality ironing boards.

I would have enjoyed free WiFi, it’s a very rural location so reception on my phone wasn’t the best. They do provide internet but the prices are extortionate for 2019.

We had dinner at the hotel which was really nice. The lamb was excellent. Service was good and friendly.

Overall an excellent stay. I would love to return and highly recommend.

Perfect

Great last minute find. Stayed in a lodge for three nights with our dog. They are well equipped, clean and comfortable. Added bonus of a jacuzzi bath and own sauna. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay on the edge of the Lakes; perfect for exploring the area.

Ideal stay for a couple with a dog

We stayed at the Woodlands Hotel & Pine Lodges after being let down by another booking, due to their open dog policy that didn't allow dogs when we arrived!?
In the end we would have been happier booking this place from the start thanks to the hospitality of the staff and the location for walking the dog.
With a pub located on site it was a great place to sit and have a chat with everyone as well them being very accommodating with our dog (despite him being a big lad!)
I would also like to give a special mention to Angelina who could not have been more polite and professional a real credit to everyone at Woodlands Hotel.

Room tip: Opt for a Lodge

Another amazing stay

We have just stayed at the woodlands from Saturday 2nd until Wednesday 6th March.
We have stayed at this hotel many times.
What is there to say...excellent accommodation ,superb food, comfortable room. What more could you ask for . The staff are all very friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
I would like to give a special mention to Josh and Angelina.
Angelina is friendly, bubbly nothing too much trouble. Her smile is quite infectious .
Josh is a very nice young man, and a credit to the hotel. Once we got chatting he proved that he has a sense of humour and a very respectful way of treating the customers. It was a pleasure to meet you Josh.
As for value for money the hotel prices are excellent .
So if you are looking for a restful break with good food and brilliant service I suggest you try the Woodlands Hotel and Pine lodges.
Can't wait to go back

Christmas and New Year in the Lakes.

This was our second stay in the lodges, we were there from the 23rd of December to the 3rd January. We couldn't have asked for more from the venue or the staff.
Christmas dinner was fabulous, the New Years eve buffet and party was superb topped off with staff that exceeded expectations from James the manager to Oli and Josh behind the bar - what a treat we will definitely be booking again.
The pine lodge was clean and tidy and well facilitated.
Fab trip, great location, keep up the good work.
