Perfectly peaceful ornate Victorian Gardens just behind the even more stunning pedestrian promenade. Quiet, calming and shady with its flowers and lake. There are so many different types of water birds bobbing around (we spied and Eider Duck). The whole ambience and smells takes one to Italy ....... don't miss this place in Grange over Sands ...... especially if you are just passing through. There is a lovely cafe (or 2) just opposite ........ All in all, very enjoyable.
Tip: The loos are 20p and very large .... so if you are desperate then you could always share (or stand guard outside keeping the door fractionally ajar) ...... pay as you go loos are something of a bug bear with me and all conveniences should be free!
