Went with my son to try the place after hearing good things about it. Service was excellent, menu imaginative (gastropub but not trying too hard, not pretentious) and food quality very good. Small cup of lobster bisque as a complimentary starter was lovely, duck terrine, crab and smoked salmon mousse and slow-braised shin of beef all excellent. And bargain prices, too. To cap it all, Mordue Workie Ticket (my favourite beer) on handpump. This will become our regular place if it stays this good.
