“Great Place to Stay”
Reviewed 15 November 2008

A group of seventeen of us stayed at the Hotel the first weekend of November to attend a Submarine Remembrance Service in Blyth. When I booked I asked if they could provide a room for us to have a privated dinner on the first night of our stay. This was done and the meal and service was absolutely excellent.
The bedrooms were wonderful, we had the four poster room with lovely views over the gardens. If you wanted a tea tray all you had to do was ask one of the staff and it was provided.
The staff were excellent and very helpful and we will be staying here again. A every good place to stay with very helpful and courteous staff and owners.

Stayed in the family room for the August bank holiday. The room is comfortable and spacious for the price £99.50 for B&B for 4. very good food, had dinner one evening. Breakfasts huge and varied.
Staff were excellent, always helpful and attentive. There was a wedding at the hotel on the Sunday, but the standard of service never slipped.
I would strongly recommend as a place to stay if visiting Newcastle.

We booked the family room for 4 women that were travelling down from Scotland and as this was my first time staying in Gateshead, the hotel looked nice on the website and very reasonably priced at £99.50 for the 4 of us. Most other hotels in the area were upwards of £40 each.

On arrival, we were advised that the family room had gone as the hotel was extremely busy. I thought this wasn't very good but within minutes, the Manager resolved the issue and gave us the private flat at the top of the hotel which is absolutely stunning and has all mod cons, including a fully fitted kitchen. Two of us stayed here and 2 were in the opposite side of the hotel in another beautiful flat, the decor and the bathrooms absolutely stunning. Nothing was too much trouble.

I was the only one that made breakfast as we had a wild night out in town and the breakfast was fantastic, food was very hot and the service great. Thanks Eslington Villa, you surpassed my expectations and I can't believe this is only a 3*, I've stayed in 4*+ hotels that didn't come up to this level

What a great hotel! Very relaxing, staff are lovely and the room was cosy. We ate in the restaurant which has a good reputation in it's own right and were not disappointed, food was excellent and a very good range even within the set menu which we have found not to be the case elsewhere. There is a nice lounge and bar area to sit in with big comfy sofas and the coffee is excellent, again, something which can be a a let down at other hotels. Overall a great experience and good value for money.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times now, and have never been disappointed. The hotel is very inviting, and the staff always polite and helpful. The food is excellent, I have never been disappointed, and have been here for lunch as well. The table d'hote menu for £14.95 (2 courses) at lunch is amazing, and cannot be beaten for quality. You can dine in the conservatory or the main dining area, with drinks in the lounge beforehand.
