Great place right on the waterfront and so just 10 mins walk from the main city centre of Newcastle.

Rooms very spacious, clean and comfortable.

Reception are spotless and the bar area was great.

The best thing about the hotel though is the staff - all so friendly, helpful and pleasant.

Will come back here for certain!

I went to the jury hotel in April for a easter trip for my birthday with boyfriend. I liked the location of the hotel however at 4pm a lot of lads entered the hotel on a stag do. We didn't get any sleep on evening because they were having a party till late hours. I rang the reception to complain and the noise stopped. Breakfast was fine but not a nice atmosphere with the amount of stag do's in the hotel. I loved the room and was near a really nice resturant however i felt that the stag do's spoilt the hotel. I dont think they should accept group bookings of guys if they want to keep it classy for couples and familys.

Just returned from a two night stay with my family. On arrival at the hotel we entered the car park only to find that the 20 or so spaces were all full. The parking arrangements were wholly inadequate. Reception advised us to either use a car park belonging to a local garage some 200m up the road, which was far from safe looking, or park on the road but only between the hours of 6pm and 8am. There was also a car park adjacent to the hotel but this charges £1 per hour even at night. On our first night we were woken by rowdy behaviour in the corridor at about 3am and the shouting, talking and door slamming continued for the best part of an hour. We thought this was perhaps a one-off, but how wrong we were! On our second night the revellers descended on the corridors at about 2am. There was arguing, shouting, screaming, crying, door slamming, and although some attempts were made by staff to deal with the disturbances, the disruption and noise continued on and off until gone 8am! At this point we decided it was better to get up, have breakfast and leave. On a positive the room was lovely modern and clean, and the breakfast was excellent, but unless you are part of a hen or stag group I'd stay well away. This hotel is not for families or couples!

Me and two friends booked this hotel at last minute for a shopping / drinking / sightseeing weekend in Newcastle going friday to sunday, and we got a very good room only price as you can get 3 people in a room unlike many other hotels in Newcastle. The hotel is brand new, the last time I was in Newcastle 14 months ago this hotel wasn't there, so the hotel is incredibly clean, and brand new, with a very nice finish. The location is fantastic too, being right on the Quayside next to the Millenium Bridge, a 15 minute walk to Newcastle City Centre and a 10 minute drive from the MetroCentre. The rooms are nice, beds are alright and it has everything you need. The staff are also friendly, polite and helpful. Despite this there there are a few drawbacks, for three of us the room size was rather small, but for two nights we could put up with that and it wasn't really a problem, yet we were only given two towels and two mugs for the tea and coffee facilities. The biggest drawback is the parking, although i travelled by train, my two friends drove up, and there are few parking spaces in the Jury's Inn car park, so they parked in the car park next door. WARNING, do not park in there, upon check-out on the sunday after two nights the parking charges were roughly £45. Another drawback is a lot of corridor noise filters into the rooms, and as the hotel is popular with weddings and stag / hen parties, it does get rather rowdy on a saturday night, lots of shouting and doors slamming so hard they made our room shake, so if you're looking for a nice quiet sleep on the saturday night, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. On the whole it is a very good, nice hotel, but it has some big faults that may put other travellers off!

Fairly new hotel so clean etc. Although, the room are small and not what you would have expected for the price. The parking facilities are a joke, there are around 20 spaces no where near enough for the size of the hotel. Not one space came free in the 24 hour time period we stayed there. Althernative parking options are on the road side but only between 6pm and 8am or a £1 per hour car park next to the hotel. We where disturbed by other guests from going to bed around 12 till the final quest came in at 5.30 so me and my partner didnt get any sleep. All told a complete waste of money. Not Recommended unless you a member of a stag or hen party planning on an early morning return.

Apparently quite a new addition to the hotel options in Gateshead/Newcastle, so as a result everything was in pretty good condition.

When I booked it was better value than an equivalent hotel closer to Newcastle city centre, but for me distance this was not a problem as it was just a short walk across the bridge into town to find a restaurant.

I would have given them a 'very good' rating, however they were let down by the inability to see that I had already paid for my breakfasts. I had to tell them at check-in (this was not a quick check in by the way), tell them each morning when I went for breakfast and finally tell them again when I checked out (once should have been sufficient).

I booked via Laterooms and what appears to be a problem is that their systems don't provide this information to the hotel. I did not choose a room with breakfast to begin with, but instead added breakfast when a pop-up asked me if I wanted to add it. As an aside, this is a much cheaper way of getting breakfast - £20 extra on the room versus £6.50 when you add it before you pay. 'Do the math' as my American friend would say.

Regarding the breakfast itself, it was pretty good - for example a great fruit salad, but unfortunately the pastires were always stale.

Fantastic stay at the jury's inn Gateshead this weekend. Situated right on the quayside. Walking distance to restaurants, bars etc. Next door to the Baltic art gallery and sage which are within walking distance. The jury's inn itself is lovely. Rooms are quite basic, however very comfortable beds, has everything that is required. (hairdryer, shampoo, tv etc). Excellent view of the millennium bridge which lights up of an evening. The management excellent and honoured my request of wine and chocolates in the room on arrival. Plenty of parking spaces available for price of £5 very reasonable as in the heart of Newcastle. Breakfast available for £8.50 pp which is buffet style, English breakfast, tea, coffee, wide selection of fruit, cereal, yoghurt, pastries, scones, porridge etc. Excellent value and great choice for vegetarians aswell. All food was hot and fresh too. Quite a few hen/stag parties there However, we were placed on top floor so was not disturbed at all. Security of an evening check room card before allowing you Into hotel so don't forget card if your planning on staying out late. Lovely place for lunch/cocktails is pitch and piano over the bridge. Also, El Torero Spanish restaurant on milburn house side serves delicious tapas which is plentiful and reasonably priced. Be prepared to wait for a table as its extremely busy but well worth the wait. We would definitely stay here again if we visited Newcastle.
