“Nice hotel. Staffing levels under pressure”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

This hotel is in a perfect position right on the river beside the Baltic Mill Art Gallery and the tilting bridge. Rooms very clean and spacious. Breakfast was very good with a large selection of items. Dinner was a bit disappointing as portions quite small and service was somewhat erratic. Not enough staff on at this time. Bar prices were a bit high. Pint of lager was over £4.00. Staff on the whole were friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Had a family room on third floor. Not sure what rooms had river view.

The location of this Jurys Inn is great; right on the quayside but at the quieter end with room outside for chairs and tables to enjoy the view. Our 4th floor room had fabulous views of the river and the bridges. Wonderful to see the changing colours of the Millenium Bridge at night.
A nice scenic and interesting short walk in to town. First time to Newcastle for myself and my daughter and we were so impressed with the beautiful buildings and lay-out of the city. (Why does nobody talk about the buildings?) and of course, the friendly people... although finding a Geordie accent was quite hard!
Most of the staff at Jurys Inn were welcoming and friendly. A special mention goes to Jolanda, who took time to chat and talk about her love of Newcastle and places of interest. Anne was helpful and friendly to us on our last day as she endeavoured to make a booking for us at Jurys Inn Sheffield. Clean and bright, newly refurbished.

Room Tip: 431 was brill cos of view of the bridges

Recently stayed at the Jurys Inn while visiting Newcastle again to catch up with some old Uni friends. Eternal students that we are we wanted great value for money and a good hotel...we found it here!

The hotel is in a great location, very convenient for getting into the city centre and offers parking(£6.50) for 24 hrs.

We really enjoyed sitting out in the evening before heading into town, having a glass of wine overlooking the Tyne...perfect!

Rooms are good size, clean and bright with stunning views over the city!

All in all we found it good value for money, great location and the staff really friendly.

Defiantly staying here again.

Have stayed in this hotel a few times and was there again this week. The reception is modern, spotless and staff very professional and helpful.
The rooms are of good size, beds comfy and ensuites have showers and baths.
Breakfast is a buffet of good quality and is frequently replenished.
I'll definitely stay here again, but just a couple of little suggestions...
Iron & ironing board in room would be great. I understand you can dial to reception for one but rooms seem plenty big to house them permanently. Complimentary shower caps would be a fab addition to the lovely complimentary shower gels and shampoo etc. in the ensuite.
However these are small suggestions and as I said will definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel for one night on 10th July. It is in a brilliant location on the Tyne River next to the Millennium Bridge with easy access to the City Centre. The staff at reception were efficient and helpful. We asked if there were any river facing rooms available and were given a room on the side with a lovely view and although it looked over the car park to the bridges it was very quiet. The room was large, immaculate and comfortable. The breakfast was very good too.

Great location, excellent service with a nice room facing the river at a great price, only downside the price of parking gone up. Had a drink sitting outside on the hotel tables near the river, very relaxing

Room Tip: If you want peace and quiet book a room on the 3rd or 4th floor

This hotel was reasonably priced compared to other accommodations in the area.

It's absolute selling point is it's location. Set at the side of the Quayside it's a fantastic view of the Millennium bridge and a short walk in Newcastle City Centre. The hotel has an outdoor bar area and if you are lucky with the weather this is fantastic!

The rooms are large and clean. Pretty standard for a jury's inn.

Parking was available at the hotel though this is limited. It's £6.50 for 24 hours.

All in all would definitely stay here again and felt it was good value for money
