We stayed at hotel for 3 nights ...girls in executive lounge were amazing very good at their jobs.

Food was fantastic .... Only downfall is the drinks are a little expensive.

Overall a fantastic stay this is our 3rd visit we love newcastle .....this will not be our last !!!!

Room Tip: River views are amazing.....

Stayed here for one night while attending a show at the Arena. It was a great location just a short walk along the quayside to the Arena. The view from our window was wonderful and the room was clean and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was beautiful and we were served quickly even though the dining room was very busy. We would stay here again!

me and my husband stayed here last week.
we were impressed with the hotel and everything there was to offer, we just didnt stay long enough.
the room was fab with a wonderful view of the river, it was great.
staff were great especially caroline and the concierge, she recommended to eat at the oak restaurant, it was amazing and not too expensive which is always a bonus.
we had a few drinks on the quayside which was a good night out and then headed back to the hotel for a few more.
my husband became ill through the night still not sure what it was, in the morning the concierge team were so caring and helpful, i couldnt thank them enough.
didnt get chance to go have breakfast as we had to head back home.
we will be going back but more than likely for more than one night.
see you all again soon

I have been here a few times for business. This weekend was with friends for a few nights.

This hotel still impresses with its location and views which raise it above the standard Hilton room decor.

Our rooms had a wall of window overlooking the Tyne with views up and down the river.

It's a few minutes walk across one of the bridges to the heart of Newcastle Quayside. A great location.

Everything else is familiar if you stay in Hilton hotels. But the views and location make this a standout in Newcastle.

My wife, daughter and I were visiting Newcastle recently. I had received an email offer from the Hilton Group, and I decided to take the offer up.

On a positive note, this hotel is ideal if you are visiting Newcastle city centre. You come out of he hotel, down the hill, across the bridge, and you are in town. I guess a brisk 10 minute walk and you are there. There is an underground car park and the lift takes you to reception. The receptionist was clinical when checking us in. The room we had was excellent. Clean, spacious and all the bits and bobs you could ever want. There is a decent size swimming pool, always a bonus for any hotel. This part was by the Livingwell Group.

Now, on a negative note(s); on arrival we had a bite to eat. At just under £25 for a sandwich and soup, with a couple of drinks, I thought this was a tad expensive. More so, the food can be described at best as adequate. Regarding wifi, this will cost you and additional £15! Far too expensive - normally this would be complimentary. As a BT customer I was told by the receptionist that albeit this was a BT hotspot, I still had to pay. This was not the case, albeit it took me a while to work this out. Parking, £9 per day. Once again, why are we paying. At just under £100 a night, Hilton seem to want to extract every last £ out of you.

Overall, very mixed emotions. There were some great highs, and some terrible lows. If the Management apply themselves, this could be a first class hotel and no doubt it would do much better. I think they are taking advantage of the guests, perhaps due to the fact so many people visit Newcastle and we have limited choice if you want to be central.

Second time i have stayed at this Hilton and have found no cause for complaint! We had a great room in a really quite part of the hotel! The staff were very friendly and room was very clean! Within walking distance of the town and great bars and restaurants! Breakfast in the hotel is excellent and a nice relaxing bar also.
