Excellent value for money. Good size rooms, clean and comfortable.
However we had to ask for the tea and coffee to be replenished and the towel rail in one of the rooms was not working. The wiring was loosly fixed to the rail with tape. Dangerous in a bathroom.

Stayed here for 1 night the hotel was great, friendly staff nothing was a problem for them, gave us information of where the best places to go were. Beds soo comfy and the shower was amazing and even had a seat in it. Definitely be back.

Cannot fault this Premier Inn, wonderful service, spacious rooms, clean and comfortable. Also the breakfast really was "all you can eat". Having stayed in a few different Premier Inns now, this was clearly the best we have stayed in so far.

why not advertise the hotel by the right town ?

To me Gateshead is what I came here for, The Sage, The Baltic, The Metrocentre, Beamish Museum BUT we did find customers who had seen the Premier advertised as Newcastle and had not appreciated how far it was from Newcastle City Centre.

I think the council consumer services should look into Premier Inn as there must be something in trades description about advertising hotels in as being in one city (Newcastle) when in fact they are different towns (two in Gateshead, one in Washington).
----------------------
It’s not a bad hotel. Staff friendly. Sainsbury near by for mega cheap and lovely meals. Handy for motorway. Lovely room / bed.
----------------------

Remember it a premier Inn .. so weekend was full of groups of young people looking to party, hen night , stag night, what we experienced at other hotels. We had a lot of bother on the weekend with noise. The hotel said they had dealt with it. No one offered us a refund after 3 complaints. In the morning i saw a group of people queue up for a refund at the desk so we went and asked. They gave us a night refund, which is there policy but they did not seem forward in offering this ... rather asking if our complaint had not been dealt with... yes but i got no sleep and want our money back !
------------------------------------

Lack of attention to detail.

We found ourselves constantly ringing for more towels as they left 1 for 2 adults .. they did not replenish refreshments.

Twice we ate in the restaurant, twice we sent the cutlery back it was filthy, drinks were not delivered as we ordered.

The room, could have done with a really good clean, we were here a few days, and it became evident they made the bed.. but not much else.

The car park was a pain, ended up around the back and driving around looking for a space, you have to remember it shares with a gym.

2 people - 2 night stay - early Nov. - 1 dinner + 2 breakfasts
Broke journey here whilst heading north for week or so.

Back to the very best that PI has to offer (after 1 or 2 slightly off visits to other units). Lovely welcoming and friendly staff thru 'out visit (hotel and restaurant).
Quiet room with smashing night-time views over lamp lit city.
One small thing - we don't have a problem, particularly, with having a wash basin in the room but please provide a towel rail by it!
Yet again, on our free evening, we had your superb value meal deal dinner. If possible, it was even better than before - good food plus smashing presentation of it as well and excellent service.
Good breakfast buffet on both mornings completed our very enjoyable visit.
Def. recommended - Will be our first choice next time passing.
