Went there with my grandchildren, to see the council enchantment lights in the park. Well I feel I could do better in my back yard. Very poor show Gatehead council what a waste of time

A good walk out, regardless of the time of year. Lots to see and do - a great place to wear out younger children. Regular events and activites http://www.saltwellpark.co.uk

Saltwell Park has been beautifully restored with plenty of walks to take and things to do. We take the children who are happy feeding the ducks, followed by a play in the park and then to see the birds. There are events throughout the year and is as much fun in the Winter as in the Summer where there are plenty of places to picnic. The original Towers building has reopened as a cafe and gallery.
