My wife and I had a two night mid week stay so we could hit the shops in the Metro Centre. The welcome upon arrival was warm and friendly with everything clearly explained regarding services provided (breakfast / WiFi etc etc). The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable and roomy.
The whole attitude of every single member of staff from Desk Clerk to room cleaner was "what can I do to help ?"
This was our very first stay in a Premier Inn, normally we will choose the Ramada or Marriott...we've been wrong !. We had one problem regarding a noisy next door resident who put his TV on at 5.30am (very high volume)....but one phone call to the night porter was enough. He had a quiet word with the person and the noise stopped immediately...so well done Bert !!
We can do nothing but recommend the place with 100% confidence that anyone will be given the same level of service as we enjoyed. Congratulations to all the staff for a job well done.
Thanks also to Blaydon Taxi company...Metro Centre for £4 and quick as lightning.

Really enjoyed our stay, the adjoining Taybarns was great. The rooms were clean and confortable. Ideal location for the Metro Centre and very handy for Newcastle City Centre. I use Premier Inns fairly regularly and rate rhis as one of the best.

My partner & I were looking for somewhere near the Metro Centre for an overnight stay. Had a great deal for £29. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and the bed was really comfortable. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We had dinner and breakfast at Taybarns next door which was very convenient and had loads of choice, so we didn't need to use the car to go elsewhere. We rate Premier Inns highly for value, location and comfort and would book again without having a second thought.

Room Tip: The even numbered rooms seem to be at the front of the hotel which was near a very busy road. We like the window open a little at night and so we did notice the traffic noise.

We stayed here for a 2 night stay in the school Feb holidays. Got a great deal 2 nights for £48.00 plus breakfast. bargain! The room was bright, clean and spacious. We had no complaints at all. The reception staff where extremely helpful and friendly. Great for the metro centre (about 2 mins) although you do have to drive there as it is only safely accessible via car as you have to cross a very busy ring road. Not a good idea to do with kids in tow. We ate breakfast in Taybarns . The kids loved it as they could help themselves and the breakfast was good for the price. We had lunch there upon arrival which was OK, exactly what you would expect for all you can eat for less than £5.00. A great hotel for the price. Would definitely use again.

We had 2 rooms during Half term, for two nights. The reception were very good, topping up our tea, coffee, milk etc.The beds were comfy, room clean, we never had any noise from other users or traffic. We used the Tayburns, which was ok for the price BUT we used the nearby Toby Carvery for breakfast, good & half the Tayburns price. We visited the Hancock museam, metro centre & on the way back home Beamish, because we booked when the offers were on we got 2 rooms for 2 nights for £88, very good value.
