We stayed at Bowes Incline for 4 days in April. The place is immaculate, the food and menu
superb, the rooms are away from the pub so quiet. The chef and staff were so friendly and accommodating. A nice country place with easy access to Durham, Beamish, Sunderland
and on route to Scotland. This was the best place we stayed at in England, Would stay again! thanks to all the staff for a great stay!!

Room Tip: no fitness centre, but the walking area is great :0)

This place is at the end of a single lane road and is signposted but you could easily miss this lovely hideaway, if you did you would miss out on a treat. We savoured the light lunch menu, we ordered a beef and a sausage sandwich, both came with salad and home made chips. Taste, content, service and value was exceptional in a nice pub environment no complaints here.

I stopped here whilst on a work trip to the north east and have to say what a great little Gem of a hotel.

The rooms are really nice and what must be the best showers ever!!

The food is excellent and a great friendly bar as well. Oh and must not forget that the breakfast choice is very good indeed.

If your heading up north and need a nights stop this is worth a visit and its just off the A1.

Steve

Room Tip: Ask for a room that faces the car park will be a little quieter as its not facing the A1.

Stayed again at the Bowes Incline. Price still at £65 per room B&B which is better than all the Premier Inns in the area. Food still of a very good standard although bar & meal prices are a little on the expensive side - but quality needs paying for- Very warm and friendly welcome and all staff are very helpful. Only complaint is that Wi-Fi is very poor. When I enquired was told that Apple devices had a problem with the network....... Already rebooked for June & would again strongly recommend for anybody wanting a good quality stay which is in a fine position for Newcastle, Sunderland , Durham and surrounding area.

My wife and I stayed for one night whilst visiting family in the area. The Hotel is tucked away overlooking the Tyne Valley. The room was spotlessly clean and the shower room just superb. The reception staff were first class and I have great difficulty finding any fault with the hotel/room or staff. We decided to eat in the restaurant on Saturday night and the food was divine. The portions are "man-sized" and the quality was excellent. The staff were very friendly and very keen to impress. On Sunday morning the breakfast was lovely and again, they do not scrimp on the portions. This hotel is brilliant, well supported by wonderful staff and great food. We will certainly stay here again.

We stayed for one night in the Family room. Booked after reading the reviews and I can only say that this is a great choice plus very good value for money. Our room was modern and spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. The food was really good and we are particularly fussy!
First time I have posted and it's nice to have such a great experience, we will definitely return here and even if you don't book the hotel. try the food if you are in the area.

We stayed at The Bowes Incline Hotel last night after attending a family 'do', in the area. So we literally required 'a bed for the night'. What a gem! 7 family members stayed in 4 rooms, they were all comfortable and spotless with fabulous showers. Before heading out to our party we met in the bar and all the meals being served looked scrummy. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Fabulous value for money. What really makes this hotel is the staff. Everyone was attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Customer service at it's best!
