We booked this apartment because it promised accommodation in the heart of Fowey with great estuary views and a balcony and we were not disappointed.
We received the keys in the post in advance and arrived at 12am to be greeted b a nice clean apartment.
The apartment is situated on Fowey's narrow one way system and we parked at the nearby Caffa Mill car park on a £35 weekly Cornwall rover ticket. Worth getting if you're travelling about for a few days in Cornwall.
Location is great and a short walk into the town centre and it's many good restaurants, cosy bars and shops. We visited the local quay bakery for our daily bread and ate at the Galleon the Boathouse and the King of Prussia, all offering good food and a friendly atmosphere.
The apartment comprises a balcony with room for 2 chairs and access to the foreshore below at low tide. Lounge diner with great view of the Daphne Du Maurier house and Boddinick ferry; TV, functional sofabed and chair plus a table and 4 dining chairs. The fridge, cooker and dishwasher are all adequate with the usual crockery, pans and cutlery also available.
Bedroom again comfortable with 2 single beds bolted together to form a 6 foot bed, all overlooking the estuary.
Bathroom adequate with bath and shower, plus a cupboard providing ironing board and iron.
Heated throughout the apartment with functioning electric heaters.
We also liked the overall ambience of Fowey and particularly the river trip and my partner liked the nice bijou shops which were all open even in October. All in all a great location, excellent views and a very comfortable apartment in a lovely town.
