My wife found this through TA and I have to be honest you couldn't ask for more. The accommodation is clean, fresh and modern. The food served in the bar is good traditional fare, with the a couple of specials, we had fresh scallops caught that day, actually 7 for £5.95 and they were stunning. A great selection for breakfast and all the staff were mega friendly, Will definitely go back and ideally located just 3 minutes from town.

Me and my boyfriend stayed at the Safe Harbour for a few days while visiting family, everything was perfect, we had a really great time.

Carol and Graham were so helpful and friendly, they truly went out of their way to help us, making us feel comfortable, being warm and welcoming and giving us good information on the best way way to get to St Ives and what to do there and where to eat at night in Fowey.

The room was modern and clean with a view of the church and the sea and the food was spot on. I was really pleased with the vegetarian options and the breakfast was by far the best one I have ever had.. so much so I had a full veggie breakfast 3 days in a row.

The stay was worth every penny, we are both looking forward to going back to the Safe Harbour one day, even if it is just for lunch.

This is the second time I have stayed here. It is an ideal location for the du Maurier Festival as the main Marquee site is within walking distance. The town is also accessible on foot, however Fowey is hilly so be prepared. All that walking does help the appetite and Safe Harbour does have a great dinner menu and a traditional breakfast which sets you up for the day. There is an excellent use of local produce, particularly fresh fish and meat. The rooms are well decorated, very clean and comfortable. As all the rooms are only accessible via a steep narrow stairs this is not recommended for those with mobility problems. They have a small car park which is a godsend in a town like Fowey (narrow streets and limited parking). The welcome and service are friendly and on the whole this is excellent value for money.

Room Tip: I have only slept in rooms at the back overlooking the car park. They are peaceful and there is a s...

I've stayed at the Safe Harbour between 20-30 times and every single time everything has been truely amazing! The rooms and spotless and unique varying from a single to a double with z-beds and travel cots available for children. And i must say, every single one of the beds is fantastic! The food is amazing, fresh and locally sorced. With the advantage of being in Cornwall, there is always fresh local fish on the specials board. Being a St Austell Brewery pub, they have a great selection of local ales. With a beautiful sea view this is by far the best place to stay in Fowey!

I Love visiting Fowey. The Safe Harbour is by far the best pub, resteraunt and B&B.
The food is amazing. All the staff are friendly and happy to help. The bedrooms are a decent size, beds are very comfortable and the views are great!

If you're looking for somewhere to stay in Fowey then in my opinion look no further. First of all the Safe Harbour is one of the very few hotels in Fowey that have their own parking, but you have to be quick as they literally have about 4 spaces, at best. These are generally reserved for the staying guests though, and I managed to get parked there every day for a week in July.

Being July when we stayed the room was pretty hot, I think we were fairly close to the kitchen vent too which added to the heat a little, but leaving the windows open soon made it a lot cooler. It can't really be helped in the summer, and they did provide fans too, so the edge was taken off that.

The room itself was really very nice, newly refurbished when we stayed, with all the amenities you could possibly need. Nice bathroom, biscuits left every day (we stayed for a full week), and a lovely comfortable bed.

The breakfast was also very good, which was included in the price we paid, but we didn't have it every day as 7 cooked breakfasts in a row would be a little excessive!!

Being a St Austell Inn there were plenty of their ales to choose from which was a massive plus for me. We loved sitting in the little cosy upper bar area in the evenings having a few drinks and chatting to the other guests and locals, it had a really nice feel to it, homely in fact.

I would definitely stay here again if we decide to go back to Fowey, but there are plenty of other St Austell inns to try across Cornwall so we'll be trying those first, and if they're as good as Safe Harbour then I'll certainly be pleased.

Doing a tour of Cornwall and picked this on recommendations on websites such as these hence my comments.

We were family of 3 with 4 year old boy and our room was very nice, clean, bright and vibrant with an excellent shower and plenty of space for the thre of us.

Welcome was good as was the beer in the pub and the breakfast. Eat at Ship Inn down the road in the evening so cannot comment on evening meals but they certainly looked nice when i was downing a couple of beers.

No critical comments to make so please book in and enjoy!
