Booked last minute. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. Our room was spotless and tastefully decorated. We spent the evening in the bar where the bar staff and locals were fantastic company. Unfortunately I tripped in the night (my own fault), so missed breakfast. A member of staff even helped me hobble to the car. Two broken toes! Would definitely recommend!

We went here twice, once for the popular pub quiz, which was great fun, and then had a really lovely meal on our last night in Fowey.
I had the Sea Bass with tomato and chorizo cassoulet, very tasty, and perfectly cooked. Reasonably priced too.
The pub itself is just up the hill from the harbour, and so didn’t seem so crowded and complacent as the other pubs and restaurants in Fowey. Really nice friendly staff, they make you feel very welcome.
Looking forward to eating here again, and doing the quiz again, the next time we are in Fowey.

This was a last minute pick, which turned out to be a great success.
The Hotel is at the top end of Fowey , two minute walk downhill to the Harbour, there is a low priced shuttle bus if you don’t fancy the return journey.
The rooms are clean ,well appointed with all the usual amenities.
Food here is excellent especially the seafood, breakfast is good with a wide offering.
Two things to note this hotel has car parking ,massive bonus in Fowey.
The building is Georgian, stairways are a little narrow so make sure before you book, in saying that I found it fine, even though I have mobility issues.
The staff are first class and helped to make this a lovely weekend

Sadly only had one night here, it was amazing view over the river, comfortable bed, slept really well. Breakfast was just right hubby had full English and had a big plate full, I not having a big appetite settled for vegetarian smaller option. Wonderful. The lovely lady who served breakfast was around but not pushy. All in all had a wonderful time, that you all.

Room Tip: We had room 1 it looked over the river

This is about as close as you can get to the centre of Fowey where you can park your car and not have to pay a fortune. Our dog was very welcome, the staff were friendly and the newly refurbished breakfast/dining room was very cosy. It was worth the steep but short climb up the hill from the centre of town. A traditional Inn with no frills or anything fancy but the owners appear to be doing an honest job at making it work/improving it all round and we wish them well as they were very accommodating. Would definitely stay again. Room rate was very fair.
