“A very enjoyable stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 August 2013

This was a very enjoyable stay. Our host, Bernie, was extremely welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice of very attractive dishes. A very comfortable bed, really appreciated by us as weary cyclists.

We are a couple from Canada. We stayed there for two nights. We simply loved it! Being guests at Abocurragh is the closest you can get to being part of a real Irish family. Bernie and Gerry made us feel at home right from the start. They opened their home, hearts and shared family stories with us. We had great conversations. When we arrived we were invited to enjoy the patio in the evening. In the morning, we also visited the stables where Gerry showed us how cows are milked. (quite an experience!) Their dog, Max was really affectionate and playful. The hosts showed a lot of interest in us. They pointed us in the right direction for places to visit. We highly recommend it as it was one of our favourite B&Bs during our whole trip!

Bernie is a great cook. She makes a delicious porridge served with rhubarb and strawberry compote, delicious homemade bread as well as raspberry scones. There was soft Irish music at breakfast.

We had a lovely stay at the Abocurragh Farmhouse in Fermanagh. The area is breathtakingly beautiful with so much to see and so many lovely walks. The Abocurragh was very very comfortable and the breakfast was perfection. Most of all, there was a great Irish welcome by the friendliest of hostesses. If you would like a take a break in beautiful countryside with a lovely friendly place to stay, this is the perfect b&B.

What a spectacular place! Well worth the tiny jog off the main road. The room was absolutely lovely, beautifully decorated and large. Our hosts were delightful and extremely accommodating. We received a tour of the dairy operation and our daughter loved their dog Max. Breakfast was delicious...especially the raspberry and almond scones! Bernadette even shared her recipe with Kiera and encouraged her to keep baking. My only regret is that I wish we could have stayed longer. Definitely will be at the top of our list for a more relaxed stop on our next trip to Ireland!

Room Tip: We were offered the option of two different rooms and both were spacious and beautiful.

We had a lovely three days in the care of Bernie. The modern farmhouse is immaculate and we were made very welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the room was very comfortable and breakfasts were wonderful, with a very good choice. The location is delightful, situated in the heart of rural ireland, great base for exploring the big houses in the area and walks.

Easy accessible and well sign posted, a welcoming Aboccuragh Farmhouse B&B situated outside Enniskillen, minutes away from Marble Arch Caves, Florence Court, stunning Lough Navar viewing point and much more. It is a charming place: comfortable and clean bedrooms, spotless and modern bathrooms, cosy living room to relax, delicious breakfast and the hospitality to match! Can’t be better! The hosts are friendly and attentive, just lovely family with a wonderful guest house. We all really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

Definitely one of the best B&B's of our Ireland holiday. We were welcomed with tea and home made biscuits in the beautiful garden. Everything we needed was provided plus several extras - nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were wonderful with lots of choice, not just the standard cooked. The poached apricots with yogurt are delicious and so is the homemade bread. It's a working farm and the views are lovely.
