We were walking down the main drag looking for a clean place, with wholesome food, that we felt comfortable taking in our 7 week old baby. Most places had fried food, pies, etc or were dark dingy bars. Crowe's Nest was well lit, clean, fresh smelling, and even had a baby changing facility (in the handicapped toilet). Tables are such that you can find privacy to breastfeeding, if necessary. It was no wonder that there were loads of women with young children having lunch in various snug corners of the bar.
We ordered the sampler platter as an appetiser and definitely shouldn't have. It was huge and filled us up, which was unfortunate as the main dishes were huge and tasted way better. I had the stir fry and my husband the roast of the day (peppered chicken). Both were tasty, but were unable to finish.
Staff were incredibly friendly and che led at various times that our food was ok, a rarity in these parts, and something that was much appreciated. Would definitely go back again if in this area!
