“Good food, large menu”
Reviewed 21 August 2013

We reserved an area for a family group of c20/25 people to have a meal / drinks the night before a wedding at the Savill Court.

The food was good - large portions, decent quality and tasty. I'm not local so it is unlikely I will visit again but i strongly recommend it if you are in the area!!

“Breakfast with no smile”
Reviewed 20 August 2013 via mobile

Waitress was in a mood when my friends and I decided to have cheap breakfast here. Body language was all over the place. Food was good for the amount we paid, but it still tasted cheap. Waitress didn't come to check on us either.

“The pub of Egham!”
Reviewed 6 August 2013

Quite a spacious pub, very popular, always buzzing, open quite late every day, which is a big plus and has 2 nice terraces - in the front and in the back yard all around the year. Convenient location, too!

“A pub to enjoy with friends.”
Reviewed 20 July 2013

We had a very pleasant lunch here and being as it was a hot day we chose to sit out the front and despite the road being very close the noise was not obtrusive at all. The pub is very popular with an eclectic clientele which makes it a fun place to be, the real ale selection is very good, the menu gives a choice of good pub type fare and everything we had was very good, reasonably priced and efficiently served by a team of friendly staff. A good example of a great British pub.

“Best pub in Egham by far”
Reviewed 15 June 2013

Often use this local pub. Have know this place for all my life having been brought up nearby. Indeed my Great Grandfather used to be the landlord in the early 1900's (I should point out that I have not had, nor ever had any business connection with the running of this pub). Currently this pub is the most popular in Egham and is often difficult to get a seat. Many of the customers are students either from the adjacent Strodes College of Royal Holloway University at Englefield Green. The food is good and prices are reasonable. Staff are friendly and attentive even when it's really busy.
