“Lovely Accommodation in a Lovely Location!”

Stayed in The Stables as The Retreat was already booked. Accommodation lovely and very roomy. Had everything you need. Wi-fi was a bonus - ideal for my teenage children. Amanda and Andy very welcoming and we very much appreciated the tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and eggs left out for us on arrival. The ride in the trailer behind Andy's tractor was thrilling and I enjoyed it as much as the younger ones staying in the other barns. My daughter loved looking out for the baby frogs on our walks around the fields. For once the weather was glorious for our week's holiday. We always holiday in the UK and stay in cottages and I must say the Stables and Rivierside Farm is right up their with the best. Our first visit to Norfolk and we found plenty of places to go and see. Hiring a boat for 4 hours was a highlight. Didn't realise the Broads were so busy! Would have no problems recommending Riverside Farm and The Stables to anyone.

“Fantastic accommodation in an idyllic setting!”
Reviewed 27 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

This holiday was truly one to remember! My partner and I took our three children to The Retreat for a week's holiday and we truly wish that we could have stayed for longer. Andy and Amanda are the most welcoming and generous hosts, really going that extra mile to make our holiday special. Nothing was too much trouble for them and our children loved feeding the animals, going on the tractor rides and picking freshly laid eggs for breakfast! It is in a fantastic location, close to lots of different tourist attractions and we were never stuck for something to do. The Retreat is a home from home, well thought out and beautifully finished with lots of room for a growing family. I cannot recommend staying at Riverside Farm enough - we will have memories that will last a lifetime and will look forward to going there again!

“Fantastic!”
Reviewed 22 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

Our family had a fantastic time at The Retreat. Amanda and Andy are the perfect hosts, making you feel so welcome - nothing is too much trouble. We were given tractor rides, collected fresh eggs, and put the goats to bed at night! The accommodation was spotless, well equipped and felt spacious for our extended family of 5. There's plenty of outdoor space to explore, including a grassy area with a swingball and a basketball net - our six year old loved this. Without a doubt I would recommend staying here. Whilst it felt rural, we were within a short distance of a large sainsburys and tesco - easy to stock up on supplies. We would also recommend a meal at The Buck Inn (Honingham) - gorgeous food and huge portions. We also had a Chinese takeaway from Wonderfood in Dereham - they deliver to the cottage. Again, lovely food.

“Idyllic country retreat”
Reviewed 18 June 2013 for a stay in June 2013

I cannot recommend this holiday high enough! We hunted around the internet for a place to stay in Norfolk for 2 families with young (2 & 3 year old) kids. Andy and Amanda were the perfect hosts. The accommodation itself is excellent quality with a great living space, kitchen diner, tv room but more importantly a fantastic outside courtryard for al fresco dining. Andy took the kids on tractor rides round the fields every day and on our last day they went on a quad bike tour of the farm, the kids were wide eyed with excitement and are still talking about it now!
For the bigger ones (i.e. the adults) Andy then lit us a wood-fired bbq in the courtyard for us to cook our lamb chops over.
Breakfast consisted of freshly laid eggs collected by the kids daily.
This really is one of the best weekends I have had with family in the UK. It's a 30 minute drive to the beach but a peaceful idyll back at the farm.
We will definitely be back for more!
